Profile pictures / avatars

Hi, I'm new, but I did search and didn't find anything on this...

Do profile pictures not show up immediately? I've set one on my account, 100x100 pixels, <6kb but it's not showing.

Do they go through a moderated approval process or anything? If so I can be patient - if not, is there something wrong with what I've done?

it should automatically appear if you've done it right, i think.

Have you uploaded the image from tinypic?

Lightster, you do have a profile pic showing (the gambling one). Apologies if this is not what you mean but are you meaning you want the picture to show next to your name in the forum too? If that's what you're after then go to your control panel and click to change your avatar and that will put the image next to your name.

Yes, I think you've set your profile picture instead of your avatar perhaps? I did the same as it goes when I tried to set up my avatar at first Anyway yes, if you mean avatar picture then that's different from the profile picture, there's a separate option to set that in your options page.

Its a good point. Whenever I take any Gambling related surveys Im sure I skew their results and it is not meant to but all the questions do assume you gamble and lose.

I uploaded a picture the other day but it doesnt appear on any of my posts in the forum. Am I missing something or do u guys have to approve it first like on some poker sites?

You have a picture on your profile: The Gambling Times - View Profile: OldMan

In your account settings you can add a photo to your profile and lower down create your avatar (same or different picture). Maybe you've only added it to your profile so far? Worth checking that first probably

You hit the nail on the head - I had set profile picture and not avatar doh!
You can delete the thread now if you can to save cluttering it
