Mixed fortunes for me.Just missed out on the bubble after calling Andys all in KK with 66 . However the Royal Flush was very nice.Had a few playing Video Poker in my casino bagging days but never had one before at the poker table. What was really spooky,a few hands after that i folded Qs preflop. After the turn card came i was 4 to a Royal again and could hardly look as the river came,i thought I'd folded another.River was 2s for the flush but no royal thankfully.
Will miss next weeks as will be in sunny Scarborough but back for the August days.

I thought it was Andy too, even though he said he wasn't...that's why I went all in.. I thought Andy was bluffing.. but instead I ran into a Full house!

Well, you lasted longer than me and having been a semi-pro poker player in my preteens against other kids in the playground, that's some sort of achievement. My poor AA against 55 *violins*

I kinda liked how it was all polite and chatty at the beginning but then one or two hands were for large pots and it was all very serious - you could feel the tension in our trousers!

That was me you pulled off that royal flush on, I couldn't believe that I thought I was golden with my hand (can't actually remember what my hand was exactly, full house 3k2q or 3q2k maybe?!). Wish I'd got a screenshot of that. Brilliant hand.

Scarborough is fantastic though, spent most of my holidays with family up there, fantastic place. Was supposed to be going this year (would be first time in probably 16yrs or more!) but it's just not happened for one reason or another.

As for Andy with the Helmuth comment, I saw that and also I thought it was really Andy joking around as well! Scandalous!!!

I just mentioned in an email to you though Andy, is your mate up for playing later? Maybe he could get the league points and carry on playing with his own login next time?

Looks like your friend got all the good hands too! I went out to his AA with my 77 though there was no way on earth i should have gone AI at that early stage. That's the 3rd tourney in a row I've made silly decisions like that. I also ran into Bellas KK with AK to double her up and I'm sure I only played about 6 hands. I'm getting paranoid

Shush, there's no need for pedantics. Let the loser lie in the dark room with maudlin violins playing will you? None of this "it was 555" talk!

I assumed the Phil Hellmuth comments were a reference to Andy getting his chat banned for cussing (Phil Hellmuth, for those who don't know, is famously foul-mouthed....).

So looks like none of us actually had a clue what we were talking about then...
