Fudge wins. I was quite pleased with 2nd actually. I apoligise to everyone I knocked out on the way through some fairly miracle Rivers.

Andy mumbled something about "punk gonna get slain" which I thought was a bit aggressive as I pulled out a sawn-off pool cue from under the table. At this point Fella's mobile rang, pizza guy had gotten lost and needed directions, kinda spoiled the moment really. Nintendo then pulled out a whip and made Fella turn his mobile off. At this point Bella heard the whip cracking and knocked on the door to see if everyone was alright. "Just Nintendo at it again" we all said in harmony not seen since the All Saints entered the UK pop scene. Anyway, Andy re-raised me all-in so I called. He showed A7 and I showed AK. The violins in my head started again and there was some sort of trip-hop coming from his direction. Turn came... nothing. River came... nothing. "See you next week" said Andy as he rubbed his hands. "Yeah, I guess" I said as I rubbed the pizza guy who had just arrived.
So, until next Monday...
I wish I could thanks you more than once.

Even though the game finished only a wee while ago i am struggling to remember exactly what happened - my memory aint what it used to be. My concentration was strained by the guy in the flat downstairs playing his guitar throughout the tournament ( a bit distracting, but not as much as when his GF comes to stay), and also needing the loo for most of the first part of the game. Anyways I remember being at the final table and losing a fair bit with a pair of eights, then being whittled down and ceremoniously dumped out on my bum by Andy ( AKA the terminator).

I got very lucky at the start and pretty much took out BBubbles, then just muddled through, then got very lucky just before the break taking out two more. Then a few lucky flops and being misread by others put me chip leader. In the end went into final two the leader, it was about 25k to 15k to me, but from there just went too and throw a bit, in the end called with Ace 3 against Ace 6, there was a 6 on the flop and that was that. Best man won.

Another fun tourney
This is from memory but I think it's pretty accurate:
I doubled up almost immediately: Got dealt a pocket pair & hit trips on the flop which also had KQ & was 2-suited. I bet, Munk rsd, I went all-in because I had a feeling I might get called & didn't want to give odds on such a dangerous board (at that point I could only have been losing to KK or QQ & neither were likely with no pre-flop rse from Munk). As it happened Munk had AJ for a str8 draw but it didn't hit so a lucky start for me.
Next few hands I had non-stop pocket pairs, one of which turned into a full-house & won me some more chips. Also had a couple of v strong hands like AK that took down minor pots without being shown after preflop raises.
At this stage we were down to about 12 & I hit a long-ish period of being card dead that lasted until final table (only one notable hand where Nintendo (I think) went all-in with a short stack with TPTK on the flop & I called with 4-to-a-flush but didn't improve.
Once on the final table things moved very fast with Andy taking out what seemed like a succession of players in quick succession & b4 you know it there were 4 left all in the money.
At that point, Andy was miles in the lead, Fudge 2nd, me in 3rd & S0095063 in 4th.
S0095063 in the BB, Andy folded & I look down to see JT so I go all-in hoping that either all fold or S0095063 calls (If I'm going to be all-in at that stage I like it to be against someone with less chips than me so that if my hand wins they'll be knocked out....). Fudge ruined that plan by going all-in with what happened to be AA! Flop of J98 (I think - whatever it was I know it gave me an open-ended str8 draw) gave me a glimmer of hope but I didn't improve & that was that. V nice to get in da munny regardless.
Thought the chat was the best it's been this week, very lively
cheers

Coming along great! One question though... What happens if you are in the top 5 Andy? Will you win a mug, or would you be willing to give yours to the number 6? I just feel like I am missing out on the full TGT experience without a mug

Last time I tied 5/6 place, and so the Mug just went to the other guy.
I dont expect to be in the top five I am not very good as a rule, but if I was I would keep it, it is the top five spaces which win, regardless of who is in the top five.

Nintendo can have my mug if I get in the top 5... remember that next time we're going H2H n2k!
