Wow you are right on that one. He finished 10th so will earn 1 point, giving him a total of 43 for the league. I hope this means that you will get your mug, and also that musicbox will now be the proud owner of two mugs.
Well done everyone, I've really enjoyed the tournaments I've managed to play. I agree with some of the comments about the blind structure meaning that after the break there is very little play other than all-in.
Hopefully an Autumn/Winter league will be organised although I am away from 1-23 October which could be a handicap!
I nearly took Bella out tonight ...Only to find that she turned Demon on the table and got herself back into things.
I backed off then and did myself no favours ..by the time I was back up for the fight my chips were not up to taking high blinds.
I missed the start of the tournament due to booking an extended summer holiday ..But each of the games I played was good and the Monday night time slot seems to work pretty well
Maybe we should all get a mug for taking part
Congratulations ButJoint! Very unlucky Fella who I thought was going to take it at the end having comfortably finished in the top three for what seemed like every game he entered. Also there is indeed a joint 5th/6th place!
Yes congrats to Butjoint well done and thanks to Andy for organizing it. I wasn't a big fan of poker before this tournament, still not the biggest but on several occasions I have caught myself thinking 'great stuff, poker tonight!'. So, all good, hope there's another tournament somewhere else.
Re the comments about the blinds, it is tricky once you're past the break and you're on a short stack having to go all in, but then again if the larger blinds mean that the game doesn't go on all night then maybe that's not such a bad thing either. A 2-3hrs is quite a nice length of time I think for the tourney personally (although generally I don't get past the first hour!).
