    ChiliPoker mini League

We can have a mini tournament at ChiliPoker (5 tourneys) and the set up structure is not 100% confirmed so what would people like?

Ideas = As everyone who was at the X-mas tourney will probably agree have faster blinds, probably set to equivalent of the Noxwin speed

Slightly higher buy in than Noxwin, $10 makes winning better and still is not "a lot" or keep it at $5?

For this mini run as its only 5 games shall we try Omaha Poker rather than Texas Hold Em (which has been suggested before).

Given the choice of $s added to the prize fund or freebet bounties on mods which would be preferred? I think bounties it gives anybody a chance to win something and keeps it interesting from the start?

    And/Or any other suggestions welcome?

This will be in Feb some time, in Jan hopefully there will be some kind of TGT Points race" set up so you can practice here and maybe win your entry to those tournaments for free anyway. Hopefully.
Have a plan and stick to it

Omaha sounds good. I am happy @ $10 not really that far from the €5 we had at Noxwin.
    Quicker blinds yes.
Instead of bounty's could we not put that money into a final tourny, with all 5winners and the rest made up of points results, all getting a share of the money. If you make the final tourney then you get paid.
How about the prize structure being double or nothing? Say we get 20 players that is a fund of $200 with the top 10 getting $20. Or maybe top 5 getting $40 each. Then all you are playing for is points and a final tourny place, the money is all taken care of. A feature of the Noxwin tournys was that as we got down to the last few places before payouts most tightened up and waited for somebody else to make a mistake instead of actually trying to take a pot. That is cool for longer leagues but a quick fire tourney like this I think it would be cool to be all about the win and less about the money. You either get a decent payday or nothing at all.

Just my thought but I am happy to go along with whatever is decided.

I would say $5 but only because I'm crap at poker and always lose (reminds me I got 2 poker books for xmas that I've not started reading yet!!)!

I think the blinds structure if we could have something in between chili/noxwin that would be good? How long did the last one take, I think it was about 4 hrs wasn't it which is a bit long I suppose especially for a Monday night if ppl have to be up early on the Tuesday for work.... compared to what 2hrs at noxwin? Well I suppose 2hrs is reasonable... well whatever really.

Main 'input' from me would just be for a $5 buy-in I think.

    Very similar.
You are dealt 4 cards instead of 2. However you can only use a max of 2 of those cards in your hand. The rest is the same as hold'em.

Lets say you get 3 aces and a 4 in your dealt hands, now you cant play all 3 aces in your hand, only 2, so if an ace comes on the board you have 3 of a kind, not 4 of a kind.
It makes for a totally different games as the hands you are playing/betting with can change.

Lets say you are dealt KQ34 The 3 and 4 are suited hearts
The flop comes king queen diamonds 8 hearts.
On that scenario you have 2 pair
The turn brings 10 hearts again you have 2 pairs but now you have 4 to a flush.
The river is 7 hearts, now you best hand is a heart flush, the K+Q are discarded and you are now betting with the 3+4 hearts as your hole cards.

+1... mainly due to the numbers entering when it's $5 so we may well not see 20 if it's $10 a game I would guess. Never played Omaha but I'm easy either way on that and a blind structure to keep it around a couple of hours would be good!

Not played much Omaha but willing to go with the flow on this.

Maybe 5 bucks a pop and have half paid (so effectively it will be like a "double or nothing" game.)

Low price to enter would/should ensure a minimum of 20 people a week too.
Could do with it being about the same structure as Nox was for speed. Anything longer on a midweek night could be a killer for some peeps if tey have to get up early etc.

That's just my thoughts though, I'm pretty free and easy and just enjoy taking part.

Never played Omaha, so looking forward to that. I might actually be good at it.

Would prefer same blinds as at Noxwin, as I have to get up early and the longer I play the more I drink. Not a brilliant combination

keeping the entrance fee to £5 would be nice but I'll play whatever, normaly good for a couple hours entertainment.
