Ya, that was tough one for you. Some had kj suited, and you had kk, you flopped trips, they went runner runner to hit a flush. that was pretty brutal. I hated calling that reraise all in to, but again priced in. Sometimes the worst thing in poker is pricing yourself in to pots and if you get raised all in you have to call. But being aggressive will also prevail most of the time if you do it in an intellegent way.
On a side note to LFC81Eoin, I cant help talking in poker lingo, you get so used to it over the years, i dont even notice it. HA. 3 outing someone is something like this. That one all in i made, i had kk and you had ak. the flop was 3 unders with no chance of a straight. So you basically had 3 outs, the other 3 aces in the deck. The other time i had a9 and you had a 6. You kinda 3 outed me, but you actually had more outs to the river. I was bluffing the whole way when i thought you were playing for a flush draw and just calling for that. I was right, but you hit your 6 on the river, then called my bet that put you all in thinking you missed your flush, which you did, but luckily you hit one of your 3 6's left in the deck to hang in there. I didnt see that coming. I really tried to bet strategically there if you didnt notice. I had position and you checked flop, so i bet half pot, you flat called, this is what made me think you were on a draw. ON the turn a blank came, you checked, this time i tried to bet enough to be strong, but not to much so you had over 10 big blinds left so you wouldnt call the river on nothing. (side note once you get below 10 big blinds left in your stack in a tourney, you want to call or make a play with a lot less of a hand if the situation is right) when the river came a blank again, i bluffed at it again thinking you missed your flush, which you did, but you must have known i was bluffing cause you called with bottom pair.
On the last 3 outer, We both had ace high preflop, i had a9 and you had a5, and you flopped a 5. Again you had 3 5's in the deck to hit so a 3 outer, But actually since you called preflop, you could have made a straigth to beat me and other possibilities depending on a flop so not really a true 3 outer,

Flopped the set, on for nearly a treble up and got done by the runner runner flush.
Gutted and went out stupidly on a suited jack ten when I had a couple of big blinds.
Well done everyone though, it was great fun.

Wow thanks for the explanation , it's amazing how much taught goes into poker , the only thing I noticed was you were playing a lot of hands so as soon as I got an ace I was willing to go in because I fancied you were bluffing. Learned alot there mate thanks very much for the explanation .

no problem, yes i was playing very aggressive, especially towards the end. Mainly because the blinds were so high compared to the chips stacks. So stealing blinds was huge at this point to gain an advantage. I know one thing, i coudlnt read what you had at all. WHich is huge in poker. When you called with that ak and i had kk, you really didnt make a bad play at all. you didnt hit the flop, but you already had a lot invested in that pot, and if you folded, you would have been short stacked. Odds are as long as i didnt have aa or kk there, you had the pot odds to call. On the last hand when you called with a5, that wasnt bad either. You had about a 3-2 chip advantage and the blinds were huge. you limped in preflop so you could have folded, but calling in that situation with those high of blinds compared to our stack was fine. Nice job to you, and to everyone. It was fun, i wish i could play on mondays with you guys, but my golf league is at the same time. It is at 3pm our time. But good luck to all in that.

Cheers to Andy for setting it all up. I went out early which was probably a blessing as I don't have the patience for 3 hour games to be honest. The software seemed quite good, chat was always open, and you could go and chat on other tables if you wanted, and after you'd been knocked out which is quite important in a friendly game. Well done to Eoin. Might see you all again tonight.
