Not sure if it was you chadders but I can remember someone early on with a string of good pairs AA, KK like yours and they were really conservative in their bets, I dunno if it is a good strategy but if you get a good pair as the hole cards early on, try and get that pot as high as possible, knock someone out and double your own chip stack at least.

I know what you mean but no-one appeared up for taking any bets early on, big or small, on that table - sometimes you just have to take what you can. Bit of an odd freeroll really.
