TGT Spring Tournament VI - Wed 23rd Feb 19:30

The password is "Viking". Hopefully it will be this password from now until Tournament XII when it will change again. As this game is not a freeroll it is unlikely we will be swamped with people not from TGT looking to get in, if that does start to happen then the password will change each week and be available from any moderator.

To find the tournament it is in the lobby, the details are:
Tournament #220143174 (16/02/11 14:00 ET) "TGT Spring League - Tourney VI"

It is a $5 tournament (actually costs $6 to register) and has an additional $5 buy in if you are knocked out early as an option.

For details of the League please see here:

Any other questions and/or to discuss the game please do so here, thanks.
Have a plan and stick to it

    Congratulations Burge, another win.

Again I was not actually there, sorry, it appears Wed is not such a good night for me

On the plus side next weeks is a pretty big freeroll so I will be there for that, as will everyone else who played in any of games 2-6, it will be a different password so PM any mod for it.

    Will update points tables shortly.

Also I think there is probably not enough interest to keep the leagues going after this league so will make this the last one. Maybe just have some bigger quarterly tournaments instead and an X-mas freeroll.
Have a plan and stick to it

Dont know if its just me, but I would be inclined to play more if there were'nt any rebuys.

I'm the same.. Don't like playing any games with add-ons or rebuys personally..

I'll 3rd that rebuy nonsense and add-ons, I found myself +2000 chips up on everyone by the add-ons part and then everyone was more or less equal again. Can't be doing with that really.

Any chance of playing in turbo mode, would prefer the blinds to go up quicker. Lots to do on a Wednesday evening, so playing 2+ hours is a bit long for me, and hour or hour and a half is plenty long enough for me.

Me too - however it may speed up if we are getting rid of the rebuys, so may be worth seeing if the next one is any faster

I got used from the last league with the rebuy option but the add-on which was introduced this time seems too much. I mean the rebuy seems to make sense as you can go a little crazy in the beginning knowing that you won't be out early...but the add-on just makes it last too long. Also, you can easily pay 6 dollars to register plus 5 the rebuy plus 5 the add-on and get nothing if you're not in top three. That's 16 dollars if I'm right in a ten(ish) players tournament. Or you make it third and get something like 20 dollars. 4 dollars profit is really small. Ok, let's say you don't rebuy but you need to get the add-on if you want to make top three.

So I agree with everyone here and I think at least the add-on should be dropped. Andy, maybe you should not drop the leagues if it's not costing TGT any money. Even it it's not going to be a prize at the end of the tournament I know I would play it anyhow and I'm sure others would too. It's not always easy for me as 19.30 for you guys is 21.30 for me but I only play poker in these TGT tournaments these days (lack of time) and I would hate to see my promising poker career to come to an abrupt end .
