Correct Score Market/Any Other Score
In relation to matched betting, a question about correct score/any other score...
If I back a home team to win 4-0 on a correct score market (as opposed to 0:4), I presume I would need to lay any other score at the exchange? Where I'm confused is that I'm backing a home team to win 4-0, so would the "any other score" lay only apply if the home team actually wins, albeit by any other score? Hopefully that makes some degree of sense!! Apologies if it doesn't but I always like to ask the seemingly dumb questions whenever it comes to gambling on new scenarios. I know monkey's with more betting knowledge than me!!! If only they could talk I could ask them this question!!! :-)

The reason why - if you back the 4-0 score at the bookies and lay 'any other scoreline' at Betfair and the final score is, say, 4-1, you'll lose the '4-0' back bet and you'll also lose the the lay bet (because the score is 'any other scoreline', ie your lay bet loses)!
When looking at correct score lines at bookies, just stick to anything up to 3-3
Thanks for the enlightenment munk, I thought there was something fishy about finding back/lay odds @ 35/12!!! D'oh!!!
Haha yes! I think I may have been tempted by this kind of thing at some point in the past as well but as always if something looks too good to be true it probably is!
