Bet365 - complaint upheld when they withdrew bonus
Just read an interesting thread on MSE
If Bet365 gub you, you can try........ - MoneySavingExpert.com Forums
Hope is ok to put that it basically suggests a tactic for dealing with bet365 limiting you or withdrawing your bonuses.
I know we are all bonus abusers on here but i have always found this controversial as just because your laying your bet of somewhere else does not hazard them in any way. As is frequently mentioned on here you cant just pick a loser at any odds likewise a winner. So the bookie can still take your money and that is another risk they take when offering incentives to sign up.
I appreciate they want gambling addicts to sign up and throw there money away although theres no guarantees with that either as they can be fearless and take them for thousands.
The one thing these offers do is give them publicity and they will win some and lose some when it comes to us bet matchers.
To be fair most bookies are pretty good with this and they might find a few poker players among us which will generate them money, i think we are looked on quite harshly to be honest

I dont think the majority here are. Bonus "Abuse" is claiming the same bonus multiple times when you are not entitled to it, either in your own name, a friends name, or an entirely made up name.
Simply accepting and taking part in a promotion they offer, and meeting the T&Cs fully, is not doing anything wrong at all. There really is no need to think you are doing anything wrong, some people get a bit James Bond about it, im not entirely sure its necessary.
Bonus abuse is not as possible as it once was they have all wised up to it years ago, but i once knew i guy who had 300 (thats not a typo: three hundred) seperate Victor Chandler accounts.
Have a plan and stick to it

Thanks for that, very interesting post indeed and contains some obviously expert opinion regarding the law surrounding bonuses and the terms and conditions that bookmakers attempt to (unlawfully) use to get out of paying out bonuses. I thought the letter/email that was included was very well written and concise, certainly worth anyone reading it if they're ever denied a bonus after being explicitly offered it in return for completing a set number of qualifying bets (as I was at sportingbet under similar circumstances).
Kudos.

Point taken Andy, bonus abusers is just a phrase we here a lot while reading through forums. I like how you say it though as your right we are just making the most of the opportunities put in front of us. Like i said though most sites are very good and honour there promotions. The worst i have heard of is sportingbet just seems to be one thing after another and makes you wonder how they get away with it really.

Bet365 - No More Bonuses. Advice Please.
Got this email from Bet365 yesterday:
************************************************
Dear Matched Bettor
I am contacting you with regards to your bet365 account.
Having reviewed your account, we are no longer able to offer you our telephone betting service. However, our online service is fully active and available to you to be able to place all of your future bets.
In order to reward existing customers and attract new customers, bet365 make regular offers such as bonuses and free bets.
These offers are expensive and bet365 policy is therefore not to allow them where we consider that the offers could make a significant difference to the likely profitability of a customer’s account.
Unfortunately your account has been identified in this way, and whilst you may continue to bet with bet365 online, we are notifying you that your account will not be eligible for bet365 offers in future.
For security reasons, please ensure that you include your four digit security number on every e-mail.
Kind regards,
The bet365 Team

So, no more bonuses for me. That's a real shame as I was doing well from the Channel4 offers.
I am now tempted to hammer them with their Enhanced Odds. No doubt this would lead to a gubbing eventually, but if they're not going to give me any more bonuses it doesn't bother me.
I am interested in other's thoughts on this especially those who have been in the same situation. Thanks.

Not been in the same situation but you might as well hit the enhanced odds offer while you can, what is the point of having the account unless you make money from it?
There is no logic to which accounts stay open or are closed, you take your chances, but if there is the possibility to make money nobody got poor by taking it while the offer was there. If you dont hit the enhanced odds now all that might happen is they stop doing them?
P.S. Tote have enhanced odds too they just call it a different thing.

Are you sure you are still elligibile for the enhanced odds? I have had the same email as above, and took it to mean all 365 offers were now out of the question - including enhanced odds.

I didnt get the E-mail but enhanced odds is not actually an "offer" as such, it is just a bet (at different odds). Its not a promotion as such just a different bet. I dont see how having placed it, say £50 at odds of 6, you dont get £250 winnings. I can see how they wont E-mail you freebet codes or refund bets if the score is 0-0 or not give a risk free bet as part of the 4-1 offer, but a bet at enhanced odds is just a bet. You would probably want to ask them for a 100% answer of course.
Enhanced odds is as the name suggests a bet on the Horse racing markets at odds higher than those listed, you find them only around 45mins before the race starts not closer, you find them by clicking "view all markets" on the relevant racecard.

Ah right, I assumed that you took the bet at the normal odds but they paid out a certain % higher on your winnings.
