I also got the email, not too keen on the extra hassle, probably minimal anyway, but if it helps prevent fraud etc on my account which potentially has a lot of money in (sometimes) Im all for giving it a go. Have ordered one
Yup, ordered one too... my bank has the card reader thing and now they offer a download of Rapport to secure the data - even though you can refuse the download, I would wonder what would happen if someone got into my bank account and they asked "did you have Rapport installed like we recommended?!"
Despite trying to ensure my MB balance doesn't get too high, I do often have a large amount of funds in there, and therefore anything to increase security on the account is appreciated.
Therefore I have ordered one.
We have been told that moneybookers will actively monitor the thread, they appreciate any feedback posted whether good or bad and would especially like to hear what people think about the new Key Fob security when that begins being used.
HOWEVER after consulting their legal department and due to FSA regulations Moneybookers staff are not allowed to openly discuss matters/cases or engage in dialogue on an open forum such as this (apparantly). They have said though that each week we can send them a summary of any questions asked and they will do their best to answer these points to us and we can pass it on. (Is there a difference? )
Questions asked and answers recieved to date are:
Q:It is very very usefull to have two currency accounts, would it be possible to ever have THREE, if you covered £s, $s and Euros for one person there would be no need to ever use anything else.
A: Yes - for VIPs who actively use two accounts and show that they would be active in a third, we can open up a third account in a different currency, but they have to be highly active VIPs.
Q:You run many "exclusive" promotions with Sportsbooks, do you ever check if they are reputable? Do you know that many of them you deal with have been known to slowpay and/or steal players funds? What checks are made before you agree to partner them?
A: We ALWAYS process KYC before having any kind of business relationship with any company. If we get feedback about a merchant from one of our VIPs, our VIP team works with the Merchant Services team to address any concerns that are raised. If our customers are victims of any kind of fraud, we cooperate with any police investigation launched.
Have a plan and stick to it
Thanks for that, that sounds very promising, I have GBP and USD already but having EUR as well would be brilliant. Not sure if I'm a 'highly active' VIP though that's the only thing, will have to enquire.

Surely there should just be one set of terms, or maybe even the possibility of paying a flat fee for a vip account.
I would love the vip account so I can have the $ account and hit the US facing books. I dont really want to use neteller because of higher fees, but if I have to then so be it.
Whatever they decide though it should be clear and consistant as to what you need to do to get it. Neteller states on there site exactly what you need to do for there vip status, surely MB should be the same.
AFAIK you need to send €5000 in 30 days to get a VIP account. At least it was how I did it the day before yesterday (got my VIP status just yesterday).
Just had email saying token been shipped..
Yup, looks like Mr. Fedex is going to be a busy man this Christmas
I was initially told it was £5K, but I didn't get VIP status. I called again to be told it was actually £10K. Once I did that, I got VIP no problem.
