Ladbrokes Casino Problems
Does anyone else have problems with the Lad's download casino? It takes me ages to load it, in fact 8 times out of 10 it doesn't load at all. When it does load, it is in 8-bit colours which is a real eye-strain.
I sent this email to Lad's Casino earlier but still would be interested in advice from any technical minds on this board.
LADDIES EMAIL -------------------------
I have Ladbrokes casino downloaded on my PC, but whenever I try to open it the loading screen hangs for a long time. As soon as I click on it, the rest of my PC loses all the colour and the icons are bigger (I think it tries to run automatically in 640x320 resolution, but I don't know why). Then I change the 'compatibility' tab to run it in 'win 95' compat. mode, go off for 10 minutes, come back and it has not downloaded even 1%. So I change to 'win2000' or whatever else compatibility is there and it doesn't download either. I have gone through all 4 compat. options and given it reasonable time to download, but no joy.
However, if I run it in one of those compatiblities, and also click 'use 640x320 colours', it will load very quickly but I will not be able to find my way around the screen - it is huge. But, surely this proves that the casino has downloaded correctly! (I have also played the download casino on at least 10 different occasions (slots and BJ), albeit with very limited colours.
My PC is Windows XP Home Edition version 5.1. It is a legal version of Windows so I cannot see where the problems lie
yeah, it wouldn't start up for me earlier. Closed it and kept trying & eventually got in.
Had trouble loading up one of the games, but closed casino right down and restarted and was ok then.
Hmmmm, but this seems to be an ongoing problem for me, not just a one-off
I think I must've screwed up whenever I downloaded originally. Not because anything went wrong, it didn't. It's just been dodgy for months and I can't think of any other explanation.
Can you not unistall it all and maybe redownload it? Just a thought, you may have tried this already though. Hope you get it sorted anyway
mine oftenhangs onloading too, i just restar.t it if it hasnt loaded after 2 mins..
yes... same here... sometimes I can't get in and takes 8 or 10 tries..
I always find the software takes a few minutes to load up, but it usually does eventually do it OK. Also generally with Microgaming software, the very first time I download and install the casino it can take a very long time to start the first time which I think is because it's downloading all the games. As a result if there's any problem with your net connection then it could possibly never actually work at all and maybe corrupt things perhaps?
As mentioned maybe you could uninstall / delete it completely and reinstall and just be sure to give it plenty of time, leave it running whilst you do something else maybe.
As above it often "hangs" for me too but it works after 30 seconds or so, if it doesnt i just try again until it does connect.
Have a plan and stick to it
