Cashback Credit cards
Anybody else use them for MB'ing? I have one at 0.5% cashback for all purchases, which brings in a few pennies using it at the bookies which don't charge credit card fees. Must be great for doing arbs with! Just wondering what everyones thoughts are on them!

I have the opposite problem that my card now treats deposits as "cash advances" and charges me interest on the deposits instantly which meant for a while i had to keep paying money onto it pretty much daily. It is now in +£ve anyway Net balance so its not such an issue.
Which card gives you 0.5% on everything, that would be quite nice to have i would consider getting one of those especially to use.
Have a plan and stick to it

Ah thats a rather strange predicament Andy!
The card I use is from Bank of Scotland, more details at Bank of Scotland Credit Card
Max per year is £150, but better than a poke in the eye! Plus cashbacks 1% on grocery items which is handy (ok, ok, off topic! :P)
Btw, if you have a hefty annual income, AMEX Platinum is the one to get. I believe its over 5% cashback on purchases for that one!!! But annual income hs to be over 30k per year.

awsome idea, the only problem is that in my country the banks usually like to charge international commission... (even on payments with same currency)

Amex Platinum gives you 5% cashback for the first 3 months, then between 0.5% and 1.5% thereafter, depending on your spending. I also got £45 cashback from WePromiseTo although that was a while ago and I don't know what is available at the moment. Don't know how Amex treats gambling payments. The problem with Amex for general spending is that it is not as widely accepted as Visa or Mastercard because it charges merchants a higher fee. Some that do accept Amex make a surcharge.
I have a CapitalOne card that pays 1% on everything but I'm not sure that is still available to new customers. Also, I know that one treats deposits as cash advances.
Halifax have a 0.5%/1.0% card that is essentially the same as the Bank of Scotland one mentioned above. Bank of Ireland has a 0.5% card. I don't have either of these.
Egg Money gave 1% on everything but it is "temporarily" closed to new applications.
I have a Barclaycard One Pulse card which gives 0.5% on general spending and 5% on Transport for London. It also doubles as an Oyster card. As I live in London, this is a good card for me. Haven't used it for gambling deposits.
There might also be cashback from some of the cashback sites for some of these cards but I haven't checked recently.

Should add that, even if Egg Money does open to applications again and they maintain the 1% cashback, I'm not sure they would look too kindly on gambling deposits as they are owned by Citibank.
