Aye, I don't think there is anything like that in BTP. Could always place the bet (where it shows you the p&l next to each selection then) and then trade out if it's wrong
Okey dokey, so I have now downloaded BTP.
They have a pretty good offer on at the moment, 3 months for the price of 1, £25. So if anyone else was thinking of having a go, now may be a good time.
The plan. I have put £100 in to my OH betfair account and linked btp to that. I have what I think to be a lofty goal if I can make that £25 back in the 3 months I'm allowed to buy more subscription. However I fear that what is actually going to happen is I just loose my £100 and you never hear from me again!
I started yesterday, trying to trade both the cricket games. SA v WI was a success, making a £12 profit and then the NZv Pakistan was going well, £7 up before it had started. However I then decided to trade on what I thought would be an over-reaction to the loss of NZ wickets. Fine in theory, but they fell so quickly and very quickly I had a loss.
Day 1, 8 hours trading, 58p profit.
Nice one procrastinator. I saw the offer for 3 months as well and it's not a bad idea actually if you were thinking of dabbling in trading, great offer to get you stuck in.
Also brilliant move using a dedicated float just for trading, what a great idea... in fact it's maybe an idea for some kind of challenge thread even, everyone starts out with the same size of float, maybe even just £25 or something and then have a month to see who can bump it up the most.
Just one thing, if you're thinking of starting a record of your trading can you do it in a new thread please, if nothing else at least you've got a record of your trading in one place and it won't be taking this thread off topic.
I'm quite up for that idea now though about doing some kind of trading challenge... wonder if there's a chance of hooking up a deal with BTP for a discount for trading challengers...
Nice idea, will start a new thread on this and see if anyone wants to play....
Just noticed this thread and I have used both Bet Angel and Bet trader and I found bet trader the easiest to use. This offer is very good but just make sure you quickly close off trades that go bad as all your good work could go down the pan in one bad trade
