New User Hi... moneybookers won't take visa debit

    Hi,

I am Gav and have joined today. My first account was Moneybookers as this has been recommended. I tried to register my visa debit.. but they won't accept it, has anyone else had this issue.?

Looking forward to my new venture into match betting.

    Welcome aboard gavrox09.

I get the same problem. Just doesn't allow me to deposit with Visa debit. I upload funds to moneybookers by bank transfer.

Still free deposit but it takes a couple of days to get there so you need to be a bit more organised to keep funds in your account ready for any possible offers that may come up, but not to much money to be a risk.

Why are you allowed to upload Visa debit and we can't? Is it because you have the greatest striker in the world as your avatar?

can ou add the VISA card to moneybookers?

If you can, when paying to bookies using moneybookers select the visa card instead of balance

BTW make sure your VISA/MASTERCAD cards are authorized to be used on gambling/casino site

Have you guys verified your debit card first? If you fully verify the card (ie send in scans of ID confirming you're the account holder etc) I would have thought they'd be fine about it. What do they say when you ask them why you can't use your card?

Actually moneybookers will charge a random value on your card and must tell moneybookers that value.

My OH uses his Visa Debit, but he had to go through a verifcation process of a letter to his home address in which there was a code, a scan of passport and also bank verification where they put in/take out (Can't remember which) a small amount and you confirm what the amount was to verify it is your account....

Moneybookers will be a very usefull tool, i am not sure why your VisaDebit was not accepted but if you have any other method to fund it use that instead, even if there is a fee you should only need to ever upload funds once, from then on you can circulate the funds around various bookmakers/exchanges/casinos into moneybookers and out again, and when it reaches an amount you want to bank some profits, take out the profit and leave in a balance to start again, etc etc etc.

You should only ever have to put funds in once really if you then use a closed loop and circulate the funds around. If the worst comes to the worst Bank Transfer which is a hassel but it is a one off and worth it.
Have a plan and stick to it
