During the US Open in play I backed Phil Mickelson at sporting bet as part of the bet basket. Backed at 17 and layed at 9.6. Not a lot of money there to lay though so didn't make a fortune out of it, but a tidy profit on a £15 qualifier
My biggest arb was something like 200 vs 100 at Bet365, could only get a fiver on though funnily enough. So far this financial year the largest I've had is 35 vs 27 (insert name here ) which actually won at the bookie!!! Had underlayed as well to make nothing if it lost or much much more if it won, so was actually up quite a bit on that one... who says long shots never come in / it's not worth underlaying long shots!?
I did a 2.1 vs 2.136 (5.89%) dutch at Expekt the other week, and was promptly gubbed.
You were gubbed for that? i have had 8% arbs regularly and not been gubbed , bwin v pinnacle , stan v pinnacle 5-12% arbs no problem, except limited to about 7 quid at stans expekt no limits and bwin limits vary
Yes, I was a bit disappointed to be honest, although I think people are measuring their arbs here in terms of back stake rather than total liability. munk's 200/100 for example was less than 0.5% by my way of reckoning. In terms of back stake mine would've been 11.7%. It lost, by the way.
