MB in euros
Hi all,
I've just signed up for betway in euros. I've opened a new betfair account in Eur but my moneybookers account is in GBP.
Betfair dont accept UK credit cards to fund EUR accounts.
I've realised I probably should have opened my MB acc in EUR but I didn't, cos I'm an idiot.
I'm saving neteller for US books, is there a good solution here that won't involve long waits for bank transfers or paypal transfers etc?
I'd like a permanent solution ideally, so I can take advantage of more EUR offers.
Multiple moneybookers isn't wise right?

Anyone used paysafecard, webmoney or clickandbuy?

Neteller in $s is probably a good idea, I have that.
You can get two moneybookers accounts with one in different currencies if you are a VIP, to get this you need to turn over 10k a month I think but there are not any hard and fast rules I have ever seen written down about it so you could always ask them even if you dont have that turnover. You could have one £s and one Euros that way though:
Moneybookers VIP
General advice = Just use the Euro accounts and if you are laying them treat the amount as if they were £s, and round the bets. Take into account the fees of a potential withdrawal and just underlay appropriately to cover it. The fees and exchange costs are only 3% or 4% and if your getting a 50%+ bonus out of it all then they are not worth worrying about.
Other general advice = If you are from the UK sign up in £s if it is possible. If you are from Europe sign up in Euros if possible. If you are from the US sign up in $s if possible. IF the bookmaker in question does not have your native currency as an option then sign up in a different one that is most conveniant but dont pick a currency because the bonus might work out £3.56 more that way, you would be suprised but some people honestly do! Use common sense.

Yeah, that's cool - I'm in the UK, i only signed up for this in EUR becuase it was 50EUR rather than 25GBP, quite a difference as it exchanged at £44.32. I'm just trying to keep the fees to a minimum.
I did think about signing up to Bettson in EUR and depositing via my GBP moneybookers - but I imagined there were probably fees involved that I wasn't aware of?
Thanks for your help.

For what it's worth, Neteller will allow you to change currencies if you wish to. I did this a year ago when I had a USD Neteller account that I turned in to a GBP account. They will close your account and give you a new one with a new number.
I prefer Neteller for uk/eur books and moneybookers for US books, but that's just me.

If on the day I deposited 25 Euros I am charged say £21:53 out of my moneybookers account say, then from now on every time I bet 25 Euros at the bookmaker I will assume it is £20. So the fact it says Euros is now irrelevant, I do the bet I would have done if I have £20 in there to bet, how much would I lay. If I had a Euro balance because of winning bets of 75 Euros and I need to bet again I would do as if it was £60. If 110 Euros as if it was £88. The amounts to lay is still up to you but I would take the fact it is Euros out of the equation and pick a close £s amount and use that ratio from now on.
Since you cant be too accurate I dont bother trying. You could use the rate you deposited with, the rate on the day you place the bet, the rate on the day you transfer back (which you dont know!), and also there will be some fees which are probably a bit of a mystery and you just take on the chin.
I can see the point of minimising the fees involved but I wouldnt get too hung up on it, it can just be factored in and its only normally a few quid here and there anyway so no big deal. US bookies for $1000s is obviously different and I wouldnt be able to make money there without a dedicated $s funding, but Euro bonuses of 50 or 100 here and there and its 50% or 100% bonuses, then the fees are neither here nor there.

I would still have taken £s if its an option but I can see why you would chose Euros as well. There is no right or wrong way to do it. I prefer an easy life though which is why I would favour £s, stay under the radar, in and out quickly and easily, minimise potential trouble, thats the best for me.
I think overall I misread your question and went on about how to back and lay it rather than how to minimise the fees, sorry
I would just say most of the time pay the fees though and dont worry about it its not very much and easy to just factor them in and still profit.

Got ya.
That makes sense, managed to get the bet on eventually. I see what ya mean about keeping it hassle-free. That was hassle that I could have done with avoiding.
Oh well... at least I know now.
Thanks everyone.
