cybernox - Armyvet is a forum member, and probably waiting longer than anyone for a withdrawal.

After the Moneybookers thing; I can't believe there would be anyone depositing with Heroes these days, surely their rouge status is now too widely known around the various forums, even if SBR were slow on the update in updating their review (not that it would matter to the majority of punters).

I am also trying to get hold of someone who knows Sean in person, not too sure whether he will be willing to contact him and ask questions as he has no vested interest.

The licensing system works as below in Netherlands Antilles

Internet gaming became a central industry for the island of Curacao in 2002 when the regulation of online gambling was decentralized from the Curacao Gaming Control Board.

The Governor of the Netherlands Antilles may award interactive gaming licenses pursuant to the National Ordinance Offshore Games of Hazard.

Applicants must first register with the Netherlands Antilles Chamber of Commerce as a locally formed legal entity, either onshore or offshore, and must state the island territories from which they wish to operate. Once an application is completed, the Department of Justice will conduct an investigation. If at the end of six weeks the investigation has been completed and yielded no objections then the applicant can receive a provisional license, which will be subject to a number of conditions, including a 60,000 (ANG) guarantee deposit.

Online gaming operators may also obtain sub-licenses to run Internet gambling operations from the Netherlands Antilles. Host businesses may sub-divide their existing gambling licenses for use by partner companies, provided the arrangement complies with applicable fees ranging from USD $2,000 to USD $4,000.

License holders pay 10,000 (ANG) per month in license fees during the first two years. A new license fee can be determined after the first two years.

The island territory on which a license holder is located is entitled to demand a contribution of up to 2% of the license holder's net gains from interactive gaming.

    Before anyone asks - 60 000 Netherlands Antilles guilders = 20 338.5852 British pounds

cut & paste is lovely and now we know how much it costs to set up a shady bookie in dutch antilles.

guess things must be quiet working for heroes at the min (except for folks asking for their money obv) ?

Hello cybernox. Alot of chatter since I have been on here this morning. To answer your question I was one of the unlucky ones to request a withdrawel April 22 and then the s*** hit the fan in early May of others being delayed. I am waiting for 4 figures like many others out there. I am American so the Moneybookers issue has not affected me at all unless the Moneybookers Vip accounts had preferential treatment and they got paid before me even though they requested a month or more after I did. This is all rumors ofcourse. As of today still haven't found an individual waiting longer. August 22nd will be 4 months. It is good to see we are getting more facts than rumors on this thread now. Maybe there is a light at the end of the tunnel

Also good to see Thebettingman checking in and giving his side of the story.

Is there anybody out there waiting longer than April 22? Would love to hear from them in this forum. This is definately not a list I want to be at the top of! But on the other hand they may look at me first when they get their finances together. And the soap opera continues....

Over 24 hours now the site is down. You'd have hoped for a re-direct or holding page if there was a genuine technical issue.

Guess it doesn't make much difference if there was no action from punters, but it might be the nail in the coffin to our withdrawal hopes.

Out of interest, does anyone have any experience with getting money back from bookmakers that have gone under? Excuse my ignorance, but do the fees paid to gain a license get held anywhere as a security of some kind?

    Yes, I’m grasping now…

The note above says the provisional license needs a guarantee of about £20,000. ie - f^ck all. Most likely not enough to pay the regulars of this forum their balances.

After all my confident talk in the Heroes bonus thread, I'm getting burned for a fair whack. Just that one last shot. I looked over my account statement this week and at one point I was down to $500, I think with WR done. Why I continued I'll never know. I'm losing ten times that much now!

I very much doubt anyone anywhere has any security whatsoever stemming from Heroescasino. Plenty of books have gone under without trace - there's simply nothing left to pay anyone... BetChance, Goldvictory, BetOT (though that was saved by association!). The likes of Lasseters saw they were going and paid everyone off, though it was a hot topic for a while.

I'm kissing my hard whored cash goodbye now. I'll shit myself with glee if I see any of it again!

Ya, it's not looking good at all and I too have written off my small 4 figure balance there.

They could still get taken over by someone like BetCris or someone else... but things look very dire right now.
