Moneybookers locked account for outgoing transfers...

I have been using moneybookers for more than 2 years now but yesterday they decided to lock my account for outgoing transfers... They requested documents, the same ones when I opened my account and they also want to know the reason of the transactions and my relation with those people...

I only use moneybookers for casinos, bookmakers and poker transfers.

Has someone had the same experience? I find it very wierd that they suddently locked my account

How did you find out that it was locked? Did you contact them? It's just that it sounds like the sort of thing a phishing e-mail asks for.

I had the same thing happen after a few weeks of opening my account. I was told to log-in and go to some part of the site and tell them what I was using the account for. So that I did. A few hours later it was god to go.
I had sent a payment to the mrs and I think this is what triggered the lock down, as they also wanted to know our relationship and why I was sending her money.
It also happened again when I did a raf payment to somebody. So I said I had branched out into bookmaker refarrals and would be using my moneybookers account to send that person a share of the raf money. Again a few hours later account was good to go, with them saying than you for letting them know.

If you do a quick search on google it looks like it's quite common...
e.g. Moneybookers account locked - Casinomeister's Online Casino and Poker Forum

How annoying... hope you get it sorted quickly.

If you don't mind my asking, what did you tell them?

Well its been 5 days. Moneybookers support doesn't answer.

5 days to look at 2 scans of documents...

Any options to speed thinks up because they are starting to cost me money. Is the moneybookers representative that posted on TGT active here?

The rep hasn't logged in this month so not sure if they'll have seen this thread. My suggestion would be to send a private message to Andy and include your Moneybookers customer ID (the number) or the primary email address used on the account you've the problem with and perhaps Andy can then send a note to his contact @ MB and ask them to look at it.

A friend of mine's account has been locked a few months! She's sent her id as requested, and keeps emailing them and they have ignored all her emails.. I know she filed a complaint recently in the hope it will get somewhere...

Totally ridicious, and she has quite a large sum of money in there too I think, and at Chrsitmas she needs it..

So, I'd be interested to know too...
