Email verification for your Moneybookers account
Starting 30th of June, 2011, Moneybookers is updating the customers personal informations, disabling inactive accounts. Please follow the link below to update your informations with Moneybookers....
I think it's not genuine.Don't click on the link in the email.
I haven't received this but a friend got it and it is fake, but the best fake I have ever seen by now. It even shows as coming from firstname.lastname@example.org. It looks genuine but the link you have to click to "verify your email" takes you to a Moneybookers look-alike login page located somewhere on hair4u.to or impressivedisplays.com - my friend received two emails with the same message but different links. Take care!
Non-business accounts will be charged a monthly service fee of 1.00 EUR (or equivalent). The fee will be waived and thus the usage of the Moneybookers service is FREE if the user has logged into the account or made a transaction in the last 18 months. Otherwise the service fee will be deducted monthly from the account balance.
That seems strange and almost contradictory considering it's main use (m/bookers) is used for online transactions with what I would consider a large amount being online gaming. also the card itself would be of limited use to people if they restrict where and how it can be used
