In the UK, in 99% of cases depositing to a bookie with a credit card will be treated as a cash advance, with fees.

If you deposit to Moneybookers and tick the box saying it's for gaming purposes, same applies.

Again, this is UK based observations

If your american I have used mine at 5dimes betus and bookmaker with no problems with no fees involved. But after you deposit and request a withdrawel they request front and back of credit card and other documentation.

ohh, this might be a serious problem.

I asked my bank for a credit card only to use it with gambling sites...

I use my credit card when i run out of funds elsewhere (fairly regular occurance ha!). I only remember ever being charged by betfair (2.5%). Just having a quick look over last months statement, and PP, VC, 365, WH all were accepted without a charge

The problem is on the other side - bookies will not charge you but your card issuer (usually) wil, as deposits from credit cards to gambling sites are classed as a cash advance.
The "usually" doesn't apply if the bookie has wrong merchant code and transaction looks like standard purchase for the card issuer.

I used an MBNA card on a casino site once, before I got into MBing. They charged me something like £3 as a cash withdrawal, but then I got that refunded when I withdrew back to the card. Not sure what would have happened if I had withdrawan several smaller amounts but I might even have made a profit!

If you are using it for MBing, then look out for whether you get refunded on a withdrawal. If so, you might make some of it back at least.

Some people more than wondered at that idea, Ugifer.
