Checking Spam inbox on webmail if you use software to manage email

Hi guys, for those of you that manage your emails using Outlook (multiple accounts or whatever) - it's worth noting that if something is classified as Spam by your webmail provider it will not be sent to outlook.

This threw me because outlook clasiffies some regular mail as "Junk" that is actually regular mail - wheras the "spam" is kept on the server.

I went through my spam box and found that all emails from Canbet, Iasbet, about half from Coral/Eurobet, some from betfair and every bookie that doesn't have english as the lead language goes straight to spam.

Probably not a massive deal but might help a few people out.

I use gmail, so for things like gambling (where a lot of emails are likely to go into junk when they're actually genuine) I tend to disable the online spam filters.

In gmail, go to create filter, then add something that will catch everything (I use the "to" field, and specify my email address), then choose the "never send to spam" option. That way, any email that comes in will skip the junk filter and go straight into the inbox, and will be downloaded to Outlook directly without interference.
