Which currency is best for the betfair exchange?

This is probably wrong place for this thread, didn't know where to put it so feel free to move it admin.

I have a question about the betfair exchange. Does it matter which currency you choose for your account? Are there separate markets for the same match for each currency? Or does everyone trade with each others regardless of the currency on their accounts?

The reason I wonder is, could you get better markets with an overall better liquidity by choosing one currency instead of another?

IMO best currency to choose is your base currency. So if you are in UK, choose GBP. If you are in Europe choose EUR and so on.

Liquidity on betfair is the same for all currencies, they convert it for you. You can have as many betfair accounts as you want, in different currencies, so that is an option.

Matchbook only offers USD currency and I am not sure if I would want substantial funds in there.

Getting involved with different currencies to early is a mistake IMO.

    No

Or does everyone trade with each others regardless of the currency on their accounts?
    Yes.
