Partybets conflicting rules on site
Hey All
I placed a bet at Partybets the other night on a NHL game, U 4.5 Goals.
I am of course aware that NHL games can go to overtime and that their could be a rule difference between 2 books so I did some research before placing my bets. To follow my process you can simply got to Partybets website and click at the top of the page on FAQ's. I then searched Ice Hockey and this was the only result of that search relevant to my question

Does extra time count for betting purposes?
The answer to this question depends on the kind of sport on which you are betting. For ice hockey, football and handball events, odds are based on the result after regular time, including time added by match officials for stoppages, including injury time, but not scheduled extra time or penalty shoot-outs, etc. The same counts for rugby events where the draw option is offered. For basketball and American Football, odds are based on the result after regular time and any period of overtime played. However, PartyBets.com might offer special bets that differ from this rule. If this happens, we will explicitly state this on our site.
**Edit* Note that this paragraph does not distinguish between European and NHL Hockey
From this information I think we can all agree that the bet would be expected to be settled on the result at the end of regular time. The official match result was 2-2 at the end of regular time but my bet was settled as losing. I contacted Partybets and asked them to check the bet settlement. They replied to me with the following link
https://www.partybets.com/services_rules.ap
The part which is relevant is this
3.1 for European ice hockey (excluding CHL, NHL and OHL), football and handball events odds are based on the result after regular time which includes time added by match officials for stoppages (injury time), but not scheduled extra time or penalty shoot-outs etc. The same counts for rugby events where the draw option is offered;
3.2 for CHL, NHL, OHL, basketball, American football and baseball, odds are based on the result after regular time and any period of overtime and extra innings played. This only applies to bets placed on the outcome of full games and not game segments. Bets on game segments such as 2nd half, 3rd period, 4th quarter or 9th inning are on the outcome of the respective segment only, unless otherwise stipulated.
Obviously these two statements offer conflicting rules with regard to bet settlement. Currently I'm Down £149 (Stake & winnings), so I can afford to lose it, but I don't really see why I should have to as Partybets are obviously responsible for all content on their website.
I just wanted to get the opinion of others before going off half cocked
Thanks in Advance

rule 3.2 says overtime counts for the odds, so result after overtime should count. It is also written on the page where the matches are listed (if you go on the "I" with your mouse) Overtime/shootout included

I appreciate what rule 3.2 says, however using the search facility on the site I couldn't find that until it was brought to my attention by CS after the fact. As stated, the first part of my OP is what I found when I searched for the rules.
Just to clarify I am not suggesting that they haven't paid out within their rules, but as the title of the thread says, depending where or how you search their site the information is conflicting, and to stress the info under the heading Does extra time count for betting purposes? is what I found BEFORE placing my bet.
As someone who operates and maintains a website as a small part of my day job I know that a site owner is responsible for all the content on their site. If a customer searches for information and finds it, you cannot assume they will keep searching to make sure that there isn't conflicting info elsewhere on the site.
Thanks for the heads up on the I button though, I'll know for next time

Normally in NHL, extra time is included unless the draw is available as a wager option.
