Close Matches/Dutching When Dealing with a WR

Tonight i found a very close match on MLB, what got me thinking is that the favorites for the match were on a book where by i have a lot of WR to complete. I was hum'ing and ahh'ing about whether to place the dutch or not and by the time i had decided the lines had moved.

Do any of you guys try to avoid backing the favorites at books where by you have large WR or does it not it not matter and you take the close matches where you can find them?

Just interested to hear how other peeps go about WR's

I used to but MLB games are mostly close matches and I personally don't care where the ods match is i will take whatever I can get.

Just go where the odds take you. Sometimes you can over-think things.

Here is an interesting stat though for you. If you mug bet on the underdog in every game of MLB you would be better off than betting the faves.
That is just one of a number of useless stats I compile and follow.
Not an exact science as it all depends on what odds you took and when, but the moral of the tale is dogs win more than you think in MLB and especially NBA. NFL not so much. There is no need to be worrying about backing the faves at a book you are trying to bust. Go where the odds take you and worry about WR's after the result.

I thought the same when first starting US books. Now what I tend to do is underdutch in favour of the book where wr might be required should the bet win. I usually aim for about 50% profit (from the bonus) if I bust or should I win I have profit to play with during wagering. I hope that makes sense

    Yeah that makes sense mate

Funnily enough the lines for both books moved just before i went to bed last night and backed the favorite at the book i had the most WR to do.

Luck was certainly looking kindly on me as they lost and i pulled over a $1000 to the other sportsbook i was dutching with
