Thanks - got onto the helpful Seymour who initially said my balance was zero but then when I mentioned UK he said that a manual adjustment needs to be done for foreign currencies. He then found my money and will put through a request to credit my account. Also did the OH's account for me at the same time

This thread on Bigfooty has some pretty good up to date info if you want to follow its progress, but it doesnt sound good, sounds like the regulator hasnt done their job here either

The latest update on the liquidator's site seems to be more encouraging for Sports Alive customers:
The latest update says (paraphrasing): on Fri 2nd Sept 2011 a sale of SA's client database was completed to Tom Waterhouse and they will be in touch with account holders in due course. No arrangements have been made in respect of Account Holders' credit balances. Bank details not been given to TW.
So slightly more encouraging but not that great since there's no news about balances being honoured.
Thanks Dutchy for the link, has anyone else contacted this guy on the forum in Dutchy's link with their details or thinking about it?
I received the Liquidators 'Circular to Creditors' today by post. There is a lot of info on creditors and statutory info on their appointment, fees etc.
The shortfall is estimated at $7.1M AUS so I think we can forget any cash in Sportsalive. (although share capital of $7M is mentioned)
Interestingly Bet247 are shown as an unsecured creditor owed $546,454 by Sportsalive.
Yes I got that as well just this morning via snail mail from Australia, a large amount of information in the pack wasn't there. The way it was laid out re creditors/debtors details it sounds as though the regulators were well and truly asleep keeping an eye on them if only 20k was in their bank account at the time they went into administration (they're supposed to keep funds ring fenced aren't they). And you have to wonder to what extent the executive officers at SA acted improperly if there were so many debts outstanding/no ring fenced client funds/(probably) outstanding directors loans (must admit I don't know about the loan situation though did notice something about a large debt to a few financial organizations).

Ascot_Ed have you read the other forum, are you considering giving your details to him? I don't know if it's worth it for the £175 I have in there, I might at least have a word with that guy and see what he's thinking.

I sent a message via Chat and they moved my balance quickly. Spotted a few Champions League arbs pretty easily.
Can people please say if they're talking about Bet247 or SportsAlive when they reply? Thread title should probably be changed...
mickfinn are you talking about your sports alive or bet247 balance?
My SA account has been transferred to Tom Waterhouse, however as I thought I didnt have a balance there, I think he has only bought the small balances, no bigger ones have transferred over..

thanked for this post
Same here Dutchy, I got an email about an hour ago to say my account had been transferred from SportsAlive and that a 'portion' of my balance had also been transferred:
My balance was £175 roughly, checking my new TW account balance is $133 (presume that's AUD so about £85), so about half the balance was transferred. Will probably do some digging tomorrow to find out what the situation is exactly.
Welcome to tomwaterhouse.com
You will also see we have brought across a portion of the balance of your Sports Alive account.
Certainly better than nothing anyway.
I've had the same email, but I didn't know I had a Sports Alive account! Did they used to be someone else? Got a feeling I was in some aus book a few years back that got bought out.
