If you have a second token how does this work then. I do but have only activated one as they generate different codes

I had this problem so have just registered a second token, activated it and that now works. I have thrown the dud one away and requested a new "spare" in case it happens again.

As soon as I registered the second token I started getting asked for a code again but did not check if the original token was working again, I just went straight to the new one, which worked fine.
Have a plan and stick to it

The tokens shouldnt be detaching themselves, I think its a very big issue.

The whole point is you need it to login, if it can just be deleted by some bug it is worthless. i think they need to find out what happened and ensure it cannot possibly happen again.

same just happened to my euros account.

the thing is, you dont know your account is unprotected unless you try it. and even if it is ok, seems like it could become unprotected at any moment. it also means your funds could get swiped even though you have the token, and mb can just say it had been deactivated before the swiping occured and so you arent protected after all.

both times it has happened to me just after making a transaction, ie i make a deposit and it is working, then a few minutes later it is not. so seems like using it makes it get disconnected. so no way to know if it is attached or not.

activated the spare one again, but what if these get removed?

theyd better sort this out fast and reassuringly tomorrow or I will be keeping much smaller balances in future.

Same with my account. Had almost all my funds in there...probably been unprotected for a couple of days too. Have withdrawn until the problem is fixed.

No problem with me. I've been asked the token one-time password every time I've logged into my Skrill account.

great. But at any moment while you are asleep tonight, it seems the token could well just decide to detach it self. a few moments later a fraudster might just happen to hack the password. you wake up , your cash is gone and you werent protected.

MB need to sort this out.

If you activate two tokens do you get asked for two "one time passwords" when you log in? Or can only one be used at a time?

Has anyone had a reply from Moneybookers/Skrill yet?
I e-mailed them and requested advice but no reply yet.

I wonder what would happen if I tried to re-register my token - would it just destroy the synchronisation between logon and one-time password?

I am not a VIP member so don't want to pay for another token to get round a problem that is their fault, but then again don't want to have my account without a token logon for too long.
