Problems logging in to lots of sites
ive looked at most of the threads and think this is the most relevant i can find for the problems i am experiencing at the moment.
Over the past 2 weeks I have experienced a lot of issues with not being able to access various accounts even though i am 100% sure I have entered the correct details. the main ones being Skrill and Betfair... I tried several times to access my Skrill account, but just kept getting message "do not recognise details". didnt specify if it was email add or password... i eventually gave up and rang them. they had to reset password and i waws able to get in. They couldnt tell me exactly what i entered each time but no one had hacked my account so I moved on..
another day i couldnt get into my BF accountm, same issue. I eventually locked my account so got them to unlock it. I then immediately tried the OH account. exactly the same problem..
tonight, I have tried to log into my TGT account, and same issue. Tried a few times, then decided to try on my wifes netbook. logged in straight away.. so am now assuming something is wrong with my own laptop. tried a different browser. same issue. typed the password in a word doc and cut and pasted it into the password box so i definately know its correct,. same issue... anyone know what could be causing this? driving me nuts and causing me concern as I worry my security may be compromised...
Why do you think it might be to do with iesnare? Did you disable iesnare already and now have the problem? I'm not sure it would be anything to do with iesnare though from what you've said. Perhaps try a virus scan?
To be honest i dont think it is to do with iesnare, i just didnt think starting a new thread was necessary so thought i would post in this one as it may be a potentinal security issue so thoughts its kinda related. I wouldnt know if I did have iesnare on my PC to be honest as wouldnt know how to check (i guess i should read the start of this thread). my last scan was done yesterday and nothing major found...
Ok well I moved the posts into their own thread if it's not to do with iesnare.
When you say your last scan was done yesterday what was that then, a full virus scan?
So you can login ok on other sites then?
I am not sure to be honest what the problem could be off the top of my head, maybe someone else can think of something.
Logic (that's all, just logic - no advanced computer skills here) suggests to me it may be something to do with the keyboard. If the keyboard has become 'scrambled' somehow, it may be sending the wrong data to your login screen. But you seem to be able to type OK. Are you using any special characters in your PW which may be corrupted? (FFS don't tell us what they are!)
I wonder if you could test this to some extent by emailing yourself your login details (disguised in the email, obviously) from another computer, and copying and pasting them on your regular laptop.
I thought of that as well but he said he copied/pasted his password (so details were in 'plain view' originally so he could verify them before copying/pasting) so that should rule out the keyboard error hypothesis... is very odd, I can't think what it could be...

Or perhaps you've changed your keyboard typey thing settings.
Ooo, I like the last theory - perhaps the keyboard language has become corrupted somehow? If so, a system restore is likely to sort things out.....
