Betfair "Take" button?
I have a 'lay' bet in progress on Betfair and the match details are showing my liability - in this case £32.40 on a £50 bet. Next to this is "profit/loss" currently showing £11.18, and next to this is a yellow "take £xxx button" showing "Take £43.32".
What does it mean?
You use it for locking in a profi/loss - it's called greening up (if you're taking a profit which will be the same irrespective of whether your original lay wins or loses) or locking in a loss (similar, if you think a result is going against you, you can lock in the loss to save losing the full lay)
You're not quoting any odds, but just looking at the figures alone, it looks like the £43 back bet to reback your lay. giving a profit of £43.32 - £32.40
I think I've used the take button once, and I the the profit figure ia usually on the conservative side
Thanks for that - it makes sense now...
