I received an email from Chyrish saying she'll be informing the 'Accts dept' about my withdrawals...from what I've read here I ain't holding my breath ...
I'll be CC'ing newspapers and the gambling commission contacts into my next email if I don't hear back by the start of next week.
Just a suggestion, maybe there's enough of us to go to one of the newspapers to run an article about this/watchdog...?
Hello, I am new to this but wish I had seen this page a few weeks ago!
I bet with small amounts so I have not noticed some of the deposits some of you good people describe. I made an error on the 4th of this month, in that I deposited £636 in my account, totally by accident. I quickly transferred the money back thinking that would be the end of it and to see it "re-appear" within a 5 working day time frame.
The first week went by - nothing so I called them up. In all fairness, I have encountered the number going to VM, but if you try 2/3 times at various points in an hour, someone does pick up.
I spoke to a chap in sales. I asked him how many worked in his department - ne said 6. This immediately raised my concerns,as the smaller the work force - the faster a company can go under! I asked him about my refund and he put me through to accounts. They told me I needed to prove my ID. I asked why this wasnt the case for them taking it out!!!? I was quickly fobbed off.
This was on the 12th and I called them back last Friday on the 13th. They said they had received my documents and that my money was in the payroll for payment, which should take 5 working days.
Friday came and I called them again. A girl answered and said it would be 48 hours.
I called Monday this week and a chap answered and basically told me I had been fed a load of swollocks and that it was in line for payment but he didnt know when. I asked to speak to the supervisor and this is when that "Krishan Bulsara" picked up the phone. He made out that he had only just walked through the door and needed time to look through my account. He took my details and said he would call me within 10 minutes. 10 minutes came and went this morning but I received an email from him saying;-
"Good Morning Mr ------,
I am emailing you as I wasn’t able to get through on the phone, I can see that you have withdrawn the funds that was previously returned to your account, as you aware that this issue has not affected yourself so this has caused a backlog which our accounts department are working their way through and your payment will be processed.
I can imagine that this delay which you have encountered has left you to feel frustrated and annoyed which we do hope you can accept our deepest apologies. I will personally contact the accounts department and I will mention if we can prioritise your withdrawal but please do continue to show your patience.
If you require any further assistance please do not hesitate to contact us and we will be more than happy to assist you.
Im not quite as patient as you chaps. I have lodged a claim with "Money Online" The Northampton Court. I read a few of your comments and I have a feeling that this company is waiting for the World Cup to get out of the way, before one day you try to go to Bet Butler, and the site os a white page with an error message on it!
They have 14 days to respond, and popped on a £5 interest charge per day. It cost me £60 to file online and I see it as a bonus to get anything back at this stage.
Is there any other bits of advice to give me as I will keep emailing them for updates and calling them in a morning. Is this not theft and has anyone tried bringing the Police into it?
Any help would be greatly appreciated. On a final note, I have assumed all my with drawls have gone back into my bank and it appears I am a further £50 out of pocket!
Post Thanks / Like
thanked for this post
I had the same email sent through to me from Chyrise earlier today saying that she was personally going to contact the accounts department and ask them to prioritise my withdrawal as well - I don't think I'll hold my breath!

Can you explain the court procedure you went through? Has it worked as you mention the money going into your bank account after?

Sorry, I dont think I have explained myself properly. You see, prior to me making the error, I only put accumulators on with £5. I have used the website since March, since some dodgy tipster came on Facebook - (probably Kirshan) and said that I was to use this site for the bets to make £10 to £1000. Anyway, I have used this website at work as it is the only one that makes it through the betting filter. I usually add £20 to my account, then withdraw £10 per accumulator. You assume dont you? That the remaining balance goes into your account. I have been provoked to look more closely at my bank and found that absolutely nothing was going back to my account - they are just keeping it all.
Today was my breaking point as I am fearful that once the World Cup is over, this site will go. If they dont file there returns, they will get struck off Companies House all together.
I asked the agent what the likely hood is that they could go bust and he said he couldnt discuss it. Cameron I do believe he was called - ive lost track.
I immediately went on money claim online. The Northampton based court, filled in the details and paid £60. They have 14 days to respond.
I just thought that if they do go bust, a Court order holds more weight than me ringing a number that is bound to go dead any time soon, or an email address that will bounce back! If they do go belly up - the court can start seizing assets if you see what I mean?
That is my back up plan, but hopefully they will pay me in the mean time. I will however, still charge them £5 per day in ineterst that the court order goes on without them paying me back.
They dont have a leg to stand on as my money was deposited by mistake, as opposed to e gentlemans agreement in a winning bet?
I took BetButler to the small claims court as they owe me £1683 and surprise surprise they didn't even enter a defence. So now they have a county court judgement to their name and have been ordered to pay by 11th July.
However, they are not going to pay as quite clearly they couldn't give a damn about legal action. Which suggests to me that they are preparing to go into liquidation. So I have wasted another £105 on the action. I can of course go back to the court and enforce the judgement which means ballifs going to their premises. I don't know much about that procedure as yet so will need to look into it further after July 11th. Although not sure how much longer this company will be trading for now.
DirkDigby...that's exactly how I found betbutler! The 10-1000 bets on FB!
I'm very worried I'll never see that £2K again, can only hope...
Regarding the 'Gentlemens agreement'
Since the Gambling Act 2007 came into force, bets with UK licensed bookmakers are legal contracts and are enforceable in a court of law.

Hi guys. I have been trying to get my money from BetButler for 3 Months now. Endless emails and phone calls. Most go unanswered, or no reply. When you do get through, you normally speak to Krishan or Chyrise. They are both experts at fobbing you off. Both will say there has been a hold up in accounts and that they will speak to them to get your money released as a priority. Only for the very lucky few, does this actually happen. The few times I was meant to speak to accounts on the phone, they are in a meeting. They are always in a meeting, lol. They will ring me this afternoon definitely. The accounts have never rung back. They have used every trick in the book not to pay me. I have passed all security checks, but of course when you send personal evidence, they move the goal posts and say they want it in another way. All adds to delay. Then they send code to your address. This is meant to be final check on your address and I.D.. Code accepted on their site. So that should have been it, now I can get my money right, No, Wrong. Now they want even more I.D.
It's just delaying tactics either until they have enough to pay out after raking in all the World Cup monies, or as some have said, they are going bust just after. I now have to go through all this I.D. thing again, and will still probably get fobbed off when I pass again.
Think about it guys, why are they offering enhanced odds for the World Cup when they are not meant to be a bookmaker?
I do believe that Butler has a Bookmakers license, so would be able to legally lay their own odds, should they wish. Things were looking so positive a couple of weeks ago, many payments were being processed, now its back to square one.
Beating Bookies since March 2006
Yes I know they have to have a bookmakers licence, but they are not supposed to lay bets Fender, as they are down as a brokerage and take commission. I think I read somewhere that they have already been warned about this by the gambling commission.
All those special offers on the World Cup look like a definite way of getting money in.
You watch the complaints after the tournament, and some of the winners try to withdraw their money.
