Dated 12th March, pretty much when the real slow paying started. I wonder how much they paid, couldn't have been much, if they had to take on all the debt. However its the debt that may be causing them some cash flow problems, hence why they changed their t/c to allow access to customer funds that were previously ring fenced.
They should have taken all this into account before agreeing to buy.

Beating Bookies since March 2006
1089 in the hole since Man utd won 3-0 - have phoned every couple of days however been waiting less time than others received this e-mail from email@example.com
Thank you for contacting us,
Firstly I would like to apologise for the delayed response.
I have had received a response regarding you withdrawal and I have been informed there is a slight delay with withdrawals at present. I totally understand your frustration as you have been waiting more than the time scale given. I would like to sincerely apologise for the any inconvenience which has been caused to you, I will continue to do everything within my power to get this rectified for you as soon as possible. Please leave this with me and I will do everything I can to push this forward.
In the meantime if you need any further assistance please do not hesitate to contact me
I am owed some £s, so far the only action has been a polite Email asking about it. Its only been 10 days though, when it gets to 14 that is actually a slow pay and will look into other options then.
A bigger dilema is what to do about some England WC arbs I have with them. I recon that will actually sink them, but if England crash spectacularly they may get away with those and limp on for a bit longer. We shall see though. If England do well I dont fancy seeing the winnings on those bets though so will just have them as mug bets.
Have a plan and stick to it
I am still waiting on a four figure sum from 24th Feb. Was promised payment on 26th March but still nothing.
Hi guys. I wish I'd seen this and other threads prior to signing up as I too have a substantial amount of cash in this company awaiting withdrawal.
Just for a slightly different approach and hopefully a little bit of optimism. I used to work for a couple of the major tabloids so I got my old colleagues to delve into this in case they could find anything new out. The racing post says all adverts are paid up, hence why they are still running them, but will look into reports of non payment of bonuses. Oddschecker say likewise, although they report no complaints have come through to them.
The strong assumption is people are jumping on the bandwagon which has caused the rumour mill to go into overdrive. The standard procedure is customer places a bet, butler then places it, if it's a winner that bookie pays butler, butler waits until it is in their account, they then pay customer. Realistically, 5 working days is not long enough. Add into it that the verification checks take up more time, and 2 1/2 weeks is probably fair. I don't like it as all the other bookies pay me in 48 hours but that's how this company works.
With regards to lack of c/s support, again safe assumption that so many emails are hitting that inbox they don't have the resources to respond. They said the guy running the twitter feed has been told to not respond to complaints as he was making promises he couldn't keep and basically that was causing even more issues.
I hope that I along with all of you get our withdrawals and definitely think twice about betting again with them, but all these bankruptcy rumours are unfounded and incorrect. However if anyone has strong concerns I would recommend contacting the racing post and oddschecker as enough complaints would get them looking into pulling advertising and hopefully stopping any more unsuspecting customers.

Post Thanks / Like
I can see some method and justification in the above.
If no one would have said Butler had problems then I wouldn't have minded about waiting a couple of weeks.
What's annoying is the customer services is poor. If they would have told me that withdrawals are slightly delayed during this busy period etc... Then that would have been ok.
It's all perpeptualted through lack of communication.
Anyhow paid in full now and a full apologetic email from them. Fair play.
Been watching this great forum with interest for the last couple of weeks and thought I'd finally register! Been waiting since mid March only for a couple of hundred. Its not even the money that bothers me its just the complete lack of customer service!! Sent 4 emails, 3 polite and the last one not so polite and still not had a thing back. Even if they said yea we'll have a look at this in a couple of weeks sorry for the delay I'd be happy. Never known been ignored to be so annoying! Have contemplated really ripping into them with an email but then think there may not be anyone even reading them. Also I know for a fact if I was reading it I'd be filing it to the bottom of my to-do pile. Thought I'd get it off my chest here as at least people are having the same problem. I'm not expecting to get paid but it does look like some payments are trickling through so you never know...good luck people I'm counting myself as one of the lucky ones as its a relatively small amount...
If this is true, then with all your contacts, I'm sure you can enlighten all of us as to why Bet Butler's parent company has had a winding up order issued against it.

I'll do my best with that it wasn't something I had initially asked. Until it is bet butler itself I'm personally not too worried. Surely if a company was going bust, and bearing in mind they had removed the term protecting clients' funds, the directors would be withholding all funds so they could escape with a few quid. But with daily reports of withdrawals, just taking a long time, I'm still prepared to think the said delays are true.
I do agree though that communication has been awful. A general email to all its customers wouldn't be difficult and would stop a lot of the bad press they are getting, but it seems communication isn't their strong point.
Betbutler is betclearer, if clearer go, butler go.
