Depends how seriously you are taking your poker as to whether addon software will be useful

I have installed Poker Tracker and PokerAce HUD ... they are both situational as to when and if I use them. Both are very widely used at the main sites and in any full ring game, it would be rare for at least a few of your opponents not to be using them for information.

    Cheers
    Cheers, Makybe !

Everything ends badly, otherwise it wouldn't end.

    Hey Aerodiver,

As said PT and PokerAce are the most widely used.

Pokertracker is tracking software, Pokerace is software to display your opponents stats on your poker tables while you play.

These are somewhat getting replaced by HoldemManager which combines the two and has a lot of other features, better reports and better filters than PT.

Nearly everything else are get rich quick schemes or pot odds programs with little value.

Advice wise, i wouldn't use many of these to 'assist' your game for a fair amount of time in your poker career - personal hand tracking is fine though. Almost everyone's game is too static, general and rule of thumb following, the more dynamic and flexible you make your game the more options and understanding you have which will mean winning more. A lot of these programs turn people into ABC robots using certain factors for decisions and never changing.

When you've got that down then have these aid you, not lead you.
