I ended up at 603 out of over 3000. I would rate my play a B. I made a lot of moves, and actually was never all in until the hand i lost. Chris moneymaker got moved to my table and people went ape shit. Playing with a past world champ, and everyone wants to get crazy i guess.
Basically this is what happened. There was probably about an hour and a half left before they would stop play for that day. I had 7400 chips. The average in the tourney was about 11,000 maybe. So I wanted to make a move sometime before the day was up if possible to get to over 14000 chips. I was crippled early when i had about 15,000 chips but a guy went all in for about 8000 with ak and i called with kk and lost when a ace came on the turn. Anyways, with 7400 chips left i got the perfect situation i wanted. There was maniacs at the table just raising on anything all the time. So i woke up with AK and raised from 300 to 900. one of the maniacs reraised to 1800. So I went all in for 7400. Now a normal decent player folds there with his hand (he had queen ten) but he calls and i am happy. Ya i lost when a queen came up, but I was ahead when the money went in with a great chance to double up and then just sit back unitl the next day started, or if i pick up a big hand, get paid off because of the maniacs at the table.
Sorry i couldnt cash anything guys. LIke i said, i played pretty well. To go over 10 hours of play with not having to go all in is pretty decent. ANd when i did i was ahead by a decent amount. I was really unfortunate to lose the kk hand vs ak to get me lower stacked. Mainly because my table was so aggressive and a couple poor players. And with more chips, could have really built a nice stack going into the next day. ANd i think there are only around 450 people left, so only would have lasted another 100 or less people to get into the money.
here is a link to see my picture at the table. I am the guy in the light blue shirt with my hat on backwards. ANd no i am not a ganster thug. My friends always make fun of me for wearing my hat backwards all the time. But it makes me look younger and since i am a pretty tight solid player, looking young helps because people think the younger generation bluffs and plays reckless a lot. So i try to perceieve that look.
