I will try to post my online tournament play and results for the next 6 months or so. I dont play a lot of online tournaments anymore mainly because I like live so much more (cash games and tournaments). But this will be a good way to track how i am doing at the online tournaments these days. I used to really dominate and make a pretty good amount of money at online tournaments but now I just make a lot of trips to vegas and other smaller casinos closer to where i leave so i can play live.

couple hours in, 812 started 175 left. I was playing really strong poker. Building a very good stack. Then got moved to a very wild table. Unpredictable and very loose. Usually that is good to get 1 or 2 of them, but there was 4-5. I am not looking great now, but still in for now.

just finished. 7th. nice little 1700 or so win. I went all in with aa at final table, kk called and qq called. qq hit a queen on flop and took us both out.

What is the standard like in tournaments these days? Its been a couple of years since I played them regularly but they were always good fun when went deep!

The play was very poor throughout for a 69.00 buy in tourny. I expect the kind of play i saw out of a 20.00 or less buy in, but usually above 50.00 weeds out the really poor players. But I cant believe how many people were just throwing chips away.


On a side note, i went over how i played in this tournament, and actually I played about as good as it gets. I only put 1 bad beat on someone, and I never got under 12 big blinds at any point. This means i was never forced to go all in preflop with a sub par hand. And at the final table, almost everyone had 100,000 chips to 500,000 chips. The last hand i had 290,000, I had aa, another guy with 305,000 chips had kk and another with 310,000 chips had qq. We were all in preflop, and the qq won. So at that point if my aa holds up, i have about 900,000 chips, and only 5 left.

for a tournament this big and only put one bad beat on someone and to never get lower than 12 big blinds, that is very strong. I will admit, I had a lot of hands that I was ahead in and it held up. Like AK holding up vs hands like aq etc. And people calling all ins with flush draws or straight draws and not hitting on me (actually only happened twice).

I dont play in many anymore since i like live play so much better, And i wont post after they are over, it will always be right when they start.

Again, I am mainly doing this to help keep track of my profits with the online tournaments.

out, 260 out of 777. Played basically perfect poker. Never made any bad moves. And never had a hand i played that i second guessed myself. Went out when I had 99. I raised preflop to 800. Another guy reraised to 1300. I called. I only had 3600 left after the call, so i didnt want to go all in preflop because he calls with ak or aq probably and i didnt want a coin flip for my tournament life, or if a Ace or king comes up, i still have enough chips to fold. flop comes j82. I am pretty sure he didnt have that, so i go all. He calles with ace ten. WOW. Ten on the river and i am gone. He called a 3500 all in on a 2800 pot with ace high. And if he lost, he had about 3500 chips left only. Horrible.
