Wow the owners (Chris Fergeson etc) really messed up with this company. They had one of the best poker rooms online; could of continued to generate them money for years too come. What a waste just because of greed. Hope the last owners face prosecution

Interesting update for any UK players who had money in Full Tilt Poker when they went to the wall:

Poker News | Full Tilt Poker players urged regulators contact police

    The article starts:

In the first update on the topic of the Full Tilt Poker scandal for quite a while – British players of the site have been urged by regulators to call the police if they believe they are a victim of crime.

The warning comes from the Alderney Gaming Control Commission (AGCC), which revoked Full Tilt’s licence late September last year. In a statement released yesterday the commission said at the request of the police, it will “continue to log incoming player complaints” with all records being made available to the authorities.”
The AGCC's advice in the latest press release is:

On-going concerns of Full Tilt’s registered players.
At the request of the police, AGCC will continue to log incoming player complaints: these records will be made available to the police.
However, following the revocation of the licences, AGCC no longer has authority to intermediate or arbitrate on player issues or disputes with Full Tilt (excepting for players registered under a Swiss address).

Players may have the following alternative options:-

    1. Full Tilt has been requested to provide a specific player contact: this is awaited and will be incorporated here upon receipt.
    2. Any player who believes they are a victim of crime, as a result of their dealings with Full Tilt, should in the first instance contact their own local police in their country of residence and report the matter to them. These reports will then be co-ordinated centrally.
    3. It is understood that a number of civil actions have been initiated by players against Full Tilt, some as class actions representing multiple players by UK, US and Canadian lawyers. Details of the firms concerned can be found through internet search.
Not entirely sure how much use it would be contacting the police, still if you were owed a lot of money then I suppose anything's worth a try. Not sure I'll be doing that personally since I didn't have a lot in there and there is a remote chance it might not be needed if the merger with GBT goes ahead and they honour the balances (no news about that though as yet).

See the full article for more info and the press release on the AGCC site.

So if the new company takes over they are set to do thus maybe:

"Laurent Tapie has stated that some players may be offered equity stakes in the new company as a form of repayment. Is this still the plan?

As I’ve said before, GBT is evaluating all of its options in terms of how it will go about compensating players. I’m not comfortable saying something will or will not be included because that process is ongoing."

Yes that's the thing isn't it, I can't see the police being able to help unless you define what happened as 'a crime', and it's so complicated that even the people who have been involved in it intimately for months/years probably don't quite know (or are unable to describe what) exactly the 'crime' is (as it would relate to anyone British with an interest that is).

That sounds like a repayment plan for the 'stars' of the brand who are still owed money? Not sure really, there hasn't been a mention of it since last month/November time when all of that stuff about GBT came to light as far as I'm aware.
