I think you mean can someone offer you a Refer a Friend (RAF) deal? I do not do that as a rule im afraid but i know Lazza (havnt seen him for a while actually) used to do it quite a lot.

It is not uncommon for people to then split the RAF amount between each other, which i think is a bit tight personally and if someone has found a site i can make money from and guided me through it with help of what to do/finding good odds/ and if it all goes wrong somehow then they should at least help to cover the loss to you, then they should get to keep all the £s.

Or i suppose if they literally just put your E-mail address in/say that they referred you, pick up the RAF bonus £s themselves and offer no help/support/insurance on the way, perhaps they do owe you half then. Except doing it that way you are not actually "friends" you have no relationship with each other at all, so should EITHER of you really be getting that bonus? There is not a right or wrong answer to that, but the above is how i have always looked at it.

As you say, if the person being referred actually needs help and is guided through then I suppose the referrer should keep full money as "payment".

However, in a lot of cases it's just someone who is signing up to a site (and knows exactly what they're doing) who notices £25 extra is available for being referred. In that case they do not need any help at all and the person doing the referring is doing little more than entering their email address so shouldn't really keep the full payment imo. There is always the argument that the referrer is taking a risk that the person being referred could be opening multiple accounts or something so perhaps the referrer deserves a slightly bigger split for that risk.

In neither case however are the people conforming to the book's definition of "friend" (imo), so I doubt the book would look favourably on it regardless. In case 1 someone is simply being paid to help extract a bonus from a book, whereas in case 2 extra money is simply being extracted from the book from someone who already knows what they're doing. I've never really bothered too much about the moral concerns here as I'm happy enough to take the books money when it's a normal bonus so I don't see too much difference

Edit: Anyway, I've just looked and can't see any referral options for Expekt and Mybet has an affiliate section rather than a straight RAF! Still it made for a nice topic

Yes i agree, and there is not really a "right" or "wrong" on it everyone would have a different view.

No i didn't think they ran those either, they are both listed in TGT though which gets you £5 for Expect, and £0 for Mybet but the code in the site is better than standard (although not THE BEST). But in a way it could be argued the whole TGT site is one glorified RAF offer, so what do i know.

like dark_knight's said sometimes being reffed gives an extra bonus (like happens on betclick, or the €30 bonus for refer and referral on betfair).

I opened this post to know if some1 wanted RAF me (in the case i receive a bonus from the bookie by be reffed). I have no way of know if there is a "being referred" bonus except search the forum and google. I am not entering the bookie site, cos i don't want to have my browser cache poisoned.

Anyway i will join expekt today using THT link and will try to find what is the Mybet best offer...

What do you mean 'poisoned cache'?! Do you mean you don't want to visit in case you won't get any referral / affiliate sign up bonus because you've previously visited the site and it's placed it's cookies on your machine already? Whatever the case you can always avoid that problem by using a different browser to register for new accounts and ensuring you always clear your browsing data (cache/cookies/etc) before signing up via a referral link or whatever.
