Still a good referral, but can't be combined with 1% offer. Good for anyone who isn't a premium member (but surely this offer alone makes premium membership worthwhile?*) once smarkets publish their new commission rates.

*I have no vested interest in pushing premium membership, except to report that my experiences at TGT have been great to date

If you get a RAF to smarkets you do not get the 1% rate.
So think carefully what is worth more, a £5 RAF or 1% commission for the rest of the year.

I dont think you can combine them, when arranging the 1% deal the RAF offer was discussed and I will C+P EXACTLY what we were told, this is what was sent from Smarkets to myself:

"3. Re: our refer-a-friend deal, we've discussed it and we don't want to remove it for existing members. Instead, we're going to say that members can't use the GT promo rate in combination with any other existing deal.

This wouldn't impact GT members who have previously received a raf bonus before this Friday. And all members will still get bonuses when referring people who are not on the list of people eligible for the rate. Sound fair?"

So you can still tell all your friends about Smarkets but they will be paying the standard commission rates.
