Yes, the Betfair days are held all over the country. If you go into the forum and click on Education which is under Announcements, all the current dates are in there although all the ones scheduled at the moment are full.
My thoughts exactly but for £400 there must be something. Its like the tipping service thing if there that good why tell anyone else just make the money yourself. If it is a trading course though i suppose he could actually be building the liquidity so therefore is helping himself in the process.
I think when you've been trading a while (i.e. years) you learn what size bets you can comfortably trade through the market at any given time without skewing the prices. You would run into problems if you attempted to trade Ä1000 units, hence, it probably does make sense for him to host training days.
I don't know the guy but it seems he comes highly recommended.
Doh, don't know how I missed the cost on the site.
All sounds very interesting anyway. I was interested a while back in going to one of those spread betting seminars, where they basically try to sell you a place on the full course (costing circa 3k I think).
A couple of sites I read highly recommended them, but I never got around to it. Anyway, hope it goes well and look forward to hearing about it.
It was a pretty good day. It was run by Peter and one of his mentors, David.
The mix of people on the course was probably 50% ex-city traders and 50% horse racing punters looking to make money.
I haven't posted anything here as I still haven't read the course book or put any of my new knowledge into practice!
The course was good though. It was 'live' so not sitting there watching videos. The first part of the day was mostly theory, as the horses hadn't started yet. Second part he used the various techniques showing when to get in & out of markets what types of trades to do (swing trade, scalp, bookmaking etc..) and he did them on live races so you could see it wasn't all talk.
It wasn't all horses though; he covered techniques for other sports too.
Iím off sick today so will try and give some of it a go later. One thing I did pick up is that live pictures are a real benefit if not essential, which I havenít got.
Iím moving house in the next month so will sort all that out for the next place so I probably wonít start this properly until then.
