I'm really interested in this, would like to diversify the things that I do so would welcome either the knowledge sharing or putting £50 or so into a pot. I can appreciate the logistical problems with the latter idea though. For me the main objective would be the insight and the learning experience rather than the profits. I think the group experience would motivate me to keep learning rather than keep putting it on the backburner, which I have been doing up until now. Would happily take on a niche area and try and learn it inside out, but can't say that I have any expert knowledge in anything at the moment.
Does anyone do the Telegraph's Fantasy Fund Manager competition by the way? I signed up but have never changed the original companies that I 'invested' in.
Here's the link, in case anyone is interested:
Really interesting idea - looking fwd to seeing how it develops.
