Odds cut further on Conte

Antonio Conte’s odds on leaving Chelsea have been slashed again as his time at Stamford Bridge looks to be coming to an end.

Conte won the title last year, but their defence of their Premier League crown has not gone to plan as they look set to finish outside the top-four.

The Italian still has the FA Cup final to come, but he admits he does not know what the current situation is.

“The will club will judge the situation and then take the best decision,” said.

Now is not important – we must be focused to finish this season. We have another game and an FA Cup final – then the club will do their best to improve their situation.”

Conte is listed at 1/10 – 90% probability – by Betway, to be leaving Stamford Bridge.

Betway’s Alan Alger said: “Wednesday night’s draw against Huddersfield makes nicking fourth very unlikely and we can’t see Antonio Conte keeping his job if Chelsea aren’t playing in the Champions League next season.

“Having been well-backed at 1/2 to leave this summer back in February, when the Blues were ahead of Spurs in fourth, those who got on will be smiling at the sight of him now being 1/10 to go.

“With no Champions League football, It’s going to be hard to keep hold of like likes of Eden Hazard who is now as short as 5/4 to leave the club he’s been at for six years this summer.”
