Antonio Conte is odds-on to stay at Chelsea, with bookmakers and club sources convinced he will be in charge at Stamford Bridge next season.

Sky Sports, in Italy, claimed that Conte was at odds with the hierarchy – claiming that his relationship was at ‘breaking point’.

However, club sources were left furious by the reports – which were covered in full in England, and they have made it clear there is nothing to the speculation.

The sources rubbish the claims on transfers, insisting they were making ‘good progress’ on a number of fronts and that Conte was fully on-board with how things were going.

And bookmakers were in agreement with the Chelsea sources, making him 1/5 to still be in charge.

“We think rumours of a Conte exit are just that, with the Italian highly likely to be in the Stamford Bridge hotseat for some time to come,” said Ladbrokes spokesman Dave Burin.
