Just had an email through about the geek's Toy being upgraded, really interesting new feature by the sounds of it and one I was wishing for just the other day - apparently it now has the ability to hedge bets based on a 'virtual' bet, which if I understand it correctly is ideal for hedging off matched bets (enter in the virtual back bet stake/price and the toy shows you the various hedging options/prices/stakes etc).

Not tried it out as yet but does sound very useful if it's what I think it is.

    Betfair Rapid

Just found this on BF to download, not seen it before, anyone used it or has it just be put up on the site?

It's a standalone application, very quick refresh rates and multiple windows, all looks quite good.

    Betfair Rapid - Download Now!

    Anyone downloaded the Betfair Rapid?

It's free from betfair and it refreshes the odds evry 1/2sec.
I'm going to give it a go. I'm always clicking refresh on their page as 2 secs is annoying when you want something to move.

    Anyone using it?
    Any issues?
    Happy?

I used it and it was great. I don't use Betfair much these days, but if I did, then I'd say that the Rapid client was worth adding to your arsenal.

It does not work in Windows 7 last time I checked. Not without trickery anyway.

Yes I use it, but not as much as I use to!

To change the refresh rate, after logging on, click on the setup tab in the top l/h corner. Again in the top l/h corner, there is a drop down box for changing the refresh rate in m/s. You can also customise other features in here!

Hope this helps, anything else just shout!

I've been using it without any problems for a while now. You log in directly to BF via the API so there shouldn't really be any security issues, although who can say 100% without knowing exactly what is under the hood.

If you still have concerns then you could ask the question on the geekstoy forum. I had a quick scan, but gave up looking although this thread is relevant:
