    Betfair Standalone Applications

whilst looking for a way to 'green up' on Betfair, I stumbled by sheer good luck across 'Fairbot' in search engine results
. Believe me it s damn good!!
Anyone else any experience of it? Or anything better?
I'm thinking of a 12 month subscription at the end of the trial

I tried it but didn't like it personally, mainly because it doesn't have popups for unmatched bets or for placing bets which I like because I can drag them around the screen when I'm matching up against a bookie. Bet Trader Pro is the only app that does this afaik.

Read more about it here and my opinions on it.

Also Bet Angel have a one week trial for free which you might be interested in. Here's the link:

    offer.betangel.com

Betfair Rapid is Betfair's own Betfair app, it's really just a standalone version of the website which just does what it says on the tin.

    There's also:
    • Betfair Direct
    • BfExplorer Pro
    • Gruss software, various Betfair tools

All of these have software which do hedging and most a lot more. I love Bet Trader Pro though, it doesn't do as much as apps like BetAngel but what it does do it does better than anything else!

    Cheers.

Yes. I would be wary of paying for any of these unless you intend to do trading full time and make it pay (a lot as well for the price some of these ask in subscriptions!). Bet Trader Pro is my favourite and it doesn't cost anything for the basic grid interface.

I got Be-tie, from Betting Profit Software

Just a one off payment, and all the upgrades are free of charge.
Dutch, trade, trigger bets plus more

I've also got their other product Value Horse Finder - nice and easy to find arbs on the horses

    Thanks for that Gasboy.

From what I can see there's no trial version of Bet-IE is that right? I'd really want to trial it at least first before spending nearly £100 on it, did you just jump in and buy it?

The VHF software sounds interesting as well, sounds like it automates what I do manually for each race - do you know how many bookies the software searches for arbs? In the FAQ it says all the bookies that are listed on oddschecker so is that about a dozen or so?

AGain though shelling out so much on an unknown is a nightmare... hope they have some kind of trial software and I missed it

    Hi Munk,

Was arbing lots last year, and then broke one of the golden rules - betting whilst drunk.
And bet on two baseball teams playing against each other two days running.
VERY lucky for me, both sides won, and with some of the profits bought VHF.
It had just had a revamp, and now uses either oddschecker or bestbetting to scan the odds.
Will use it against betfair, and soon to be betdaq.
It will alert you when it finds a back / lay arb. It can be also used to bet e/w at the bookie, then lay the win and place at betfair. BUt you still have to place the bets yourself mind!!!!
And don't think there is a trial.

Bet-ie is ok as well. But think with all the bots out there, its all what they can do, layout etc, and just find that bet-ie is fine for me.

And its just a one-off payment. No monthly fees.

What sort of computer systems are you using to run this kind of software - do you go full on with a quad monitor set up?

    Trading through Bet Angel

Had a half day today, so i decided to mess about with the free bet angel software that i have installed on my computer.

I've just been trading the horses pre-race @ £2 stakes, it's quite good fun, not really sure what i'm doing though.

I might get a trial of the software munk spoke about (bet trader pro?).

So far i'm about 0.10p up!

I won't give up the day job just yet.
