Have you had a chance yet to give it a go properly, and if so, did you find you did better after having the training session day?

I haven't been to one of these, but I've watched the videos, and it would be very interesting to know if you thought your investment in the training session had paid off.

Hope all is going well for you.

I've barely given trading a second though since the training day. I suddenly got busy with renovating a house, work stuff, kids etc.. all the usual distractions!

I've just signed up for the trading challenge to give me a bit of motivation though. I doubt the course will give me any advantage, the course is more about BetAngel and looking at BetTrader it doesn't have the features I'm used to.

So my investment hasn't paid off, but that's just my bad timing in when I booked the course. I still liked the day though, met some good people and learnt things that were new to me so don't regret going at all.

& maybe when my house is done I'll actually get to do some trading!

Good luck on the Trading Challenge then! I'd never get to do any of this either if my kids hadn't basically left home ("basically" means they come and eat me out of house and home during uni holidays!).

Years ago, before Peter Webb was well known he put an ad on eBay offering a 1 day one on one betfair trading course, which I took up. He had set up a dummy betfair account as was showing me examples of trading using penny £1 stakes. Somehow he did seem to hit every trade using the weight of money.

However, it was something I never really was able to replicate with any consistency. I don't think I would ever go back to trying to learn trading - I much prefer Matched Betting/Arbing.

Quick update - I didn't make it this month, but have re-scheduled for August, so will post again with my thoughts on it.

Sorry for late reply. I don't know what that is - is it a feature of BetAngel?

But the answer is no - in fact, this was in the days before Bet Angel was developed, and he actually used some else's software.

However, he was actually demonstrating to me just using the Betfair Interface, so he was literally just looking at the amounts of money available.
