Thanks TAT, I'll try that if my uninstall of .NET (there were about 4 different versions on my pc) and reinstall of bettrader doesn't solve the problem.
Now, I have just started BetTrader and in it says do I have an affiliate code, what should I say?

If you clicked through the banner on the TGT hompage you do not need to input a code it is done automatically.
Have a plan and stick to it

I can't remember seeing that when I installed, but I'd leave it blank.

Oops, no I didn't click on the banner from TGT cos I already had the software downloaded from before, months ago before I came to TGT and signed up last week. Nevermind, sorry about that.

And I can't get BetTrader working anyway so I'll just stick to the normal Betfair web page trading until I get a new PC as my current one is old and slow, but can't afford one yet, need to do some more matched betting and casino bonuses and save up!

I will be checking the affiliate system imminently to see whose deposits are showing up so if you've told me what your pence ID number is or have definitely paid the £50.xx where xx is the number you are on the list on the first post of the challenge thread(!) then it should all be fine. If you registered on the 26th then I imagine it's probably just gone through today and you'll be confirmed after I've checked (watch for the little icon next to your name which indicates you're confirmed, have a look at the others on this thread (or actually at my name above here ^^ you should see the icon there)).

Been trying to read up a bit on trading and watched a few of the "before the off price movements on betfair which reminded me just how much the price moves which is great and scary at the same time. Must keep repeating in my head the golden rule "Cut losses, cut losses, cut losses."

edit. Here's the screengrab for the wonky gui, when I click a selection to back or lay I see this:

Did you manage to fix this? I know there are a few people on the Racing Traders forum who've had similar problems before to do with the GUI not displaying properly and the issues are mostly solved well by support there. Let me know if you still haven't got it fixed and I'll try and forward it to Adam or look into it myself.

I think the general idea will be that everyone starts with ROUGHLY £50, the amounts deposited SHOULD be under £51 (£50.xx ), although some people have started with a little over £51 because you have to deposit a 'verification amount' to confirm / ID your credit/debit card.

If anyone has over £50, maybe you could have a punt on a back bet with the 'spare change' over the £50, if it wins, great, withdraw it, if it loses... well just a few pennies lost... just an idea, not too worried if people start with just over £50 but please no more than say £52 to be fair all round.

I really hope you don't have to resort to that, trading on fast markets will be quite difficult if you do it that way and of course one of the 'rewards' for taking part in the challenge and going through the gruelling(!) registration process I managed to concoct was that you would get a month's free subscription to BetTrader.

Have you asked for help on the Racing Traders forum at all? If not don't worry now. Perhaps you could create a new thread on it's own about this in this forum (the bettrader challenge forum) and include as many details as possible and I'll try and help and ask Adam/TheGeek for some input if possible.

    Cheers.

Ok... I will be checking the affiliate data within the hour anyway, so hopefully within 2hrs a few more of you will see the trading icon next to their forum username to show they're definitely in.

I will also forward all the usernames of people who have been confirmed to Adam at BetTrader today to hopefully get the one month subscription set up on those accounts.

Importantly - if you haven't yet registered please don't be put off because it's too late, you can register at any time up until the end of July but obviously the sooner you register the more time you will have on the 'ladder' for free to generate a profit and improve your chances of winning prizes.

Cheers to everyone who's emailed, I haven't emailed all of you back to say I'd received your email, in hindsight I should have set up some kind of auto-reply perhaps just so you knew I'd received them.

Here is a list of everyone I've received an email from so far just for the record:

And here is a list of people who are now confirmed and will get their one month's sub hopefully by the end of today:
    munk
    andy
    luckyinlove
    takeawaytuesday
    lordshaftu

There are a number of people I have received emails from to say they've registered but I can't confirm you because you didn't say how much you deposited (my fault really I changed to doing the deposit thing on 26th or so).

Can the following people PLEASE tell me how much they deposited either via PM or just on here:

    grandthrax
    oasis
    wndllll
    shyle of pyte
    ameliesdad
    clackerooney
    marcwiseman

I can then confirm you all, cheers.

I emailed support and they suggested trying ver. 1.1 of .NET, so I'll try that, maybe see if I can find a utility to remove all traces of BetTrader and .NET before I reinstall them cos I know that sometimes uninstalling programs doesn't clear everything which could affect future reinstalls (Oh my, just shoot me! It's hot and I'm irritable and before long this bloody shitty PC of mine is going to be thrown out of the god damn window!).

Those with a balance over £50 can just withdraw the appropriate amount; as there is no minimum withdrawal amount in place at Betfair (or at least there isn't for those who deposit via money bookers). I've just withdrawn 38p from my account so I can start with exactly £50.
