That's really impressive Grandthrax! I think you should win something if for no other reason that I think you're the only one of us (someone correct me if I'm wrong!) who managed to get fully on top of the pre-race horse market. Well done!!!

Yes Grandthrax that's very impressive, did you pick it up towards the end then? In week 3 I think you were at around £70 or so?

I started pretty slowly due to £2 stakes and computer trouble so didn't do much trading in the first couple of weeks. But in the last few weeks (since i got my new computer)I tried to trade at least a bit most days. Also I got a lot better at interpretting what the market was going to do. Increased stake size and higher return on that stake meant that my profits just kept going up . I had a bit of trouble towards the end with betTrader playing up but apart from that things just kept improving.

PS thanks again for organising it all and thanks to everyone else involved. Especially if i get a prize!!

My final balance is £135.11. With a total of 204 markets traded on (all horse racing). So averaged 42p a race! Although that shows marked improvement. In my first 3 days of trading i averaged just under 4p a race! On the the last day of trading i averaged just over 72p a race.

I've really enjoyed it, but at the same time it has been quite emotionally draining. I wouldn't call it gambling because if i had the discipline i could be pretty sure of making steady (but small) profits. All of my big losses have been through silly mistakes. The amount of people who have watched me do some trading and said something along the lines of "but your just guessing"....

Although my balance is 135.11, i think there are a couple of trades which I left to go in-play. If i make the final cut, i will trawl through the hundreds of markets and take out the ones which aren't in the spirit of the competition. But as that is such a daunting task i'm not doing it now . At a guess ater taking them out i reckon i'd still be 120+. (just wish i could add in the losses which i sustained doing the same thing!)

That much trading and that much profit, sounds like a worthy winner!

Tried a little trading on horse racing throughout the challenge, but in the way that many others have described, I found that one largish loss was eating up my consistent small profits!

I also traded at higher stakes on the test matches (a sport I have some knowledge of - unlike horses!), and was moderately successful, but really nothing to get too excited about.

Figures wise, I was pretty much about even overall. Congratulations to those who have had a successful month!
