    Cheltenham plays

Denman is currently 8.0 to win the Gold Cup with Tote NRNB.

    I just laid him for £210 on BF Ante-Post @ 7.48: Returns £239.20 / moneyback.

However he's NOT a definite runner & if he's withdrawn I get moneyback at Tote & win £200 at BF:

Denman may not run in Cheltenham Gold Cup warns co-owner Harry Findlay - Racing blog - Sport - Mirror.co.uk

The above odds are still available as I type - I think this is a nice play.

(will tie up a balance at BF obv).

    There's a non-runner = money back market at betfair?
    I cannot see it.

Nope its non-runner = money back at tote, and antepost at BF

If horse withdraws = money back from tote, but as its an antepost (where if a horse pulls out, it is classed as loser instead of voided) you will win the lay at betfair, so you'll be up whatever that lay amount is.

I still don't read Fellas post that way although clearly that is what is meant. Money back on Cheltenham antepost is available at quite a few bookies now so there may be some merit in this. If only Gold Cup wasn't on the final day I might take a punt too.

Yes Hutch is correct in his explanation.

Anytime you can get a no-loss bet on a NRNB Ante-post market laid on a BF Ante-post market you stand to hit the jackpot if the horse is withdrawn. In this case it's extra appealing because of the doubt's over Denman's participation.

(FWIW I think he probably will run, but since this is a no-risk play I've done it anyway. And you never know.)

    Nuvver one:

Cousin Vinny 4.33 WillHill Supreme Novices Hurdle. Backed for £200 & laid @ 4.2 BF to breakeven either way.

Two possible ways to win with this one: WillHill are BOG on their Chelts Ante-Post market AND they're NRNB on this particular race (only on the races they sponsor currently).

So if he doesn't run I win £200 & if the price drifts I may also win if he wins & BOG kicks in.
