Awful start by Gay (was 5 over after 5). Recovered slightly to finish +3 but needs to shoot a great round tomorrow just to make the cut.

Ogilvy is +1 having managed to hit two double-bogeys in three holes! Muppet.

Goosen is the only ray of light, -2 after 14. Even he was doing better (at -3) but just dropped a shot.

Woods is definitely the current value @ 7.0. Hard to imagine he won't trade lower than that at some point in the next 3 days.

Yes but the real question is how is Azuma Yano playing, thats what I want to know

I have got on Woods again at 7s, pretty big win on him now really, hope he come in I will be laying from 5s downwards.

I put £2 on Mike Weir (my favourite golfer since he's Canadian) at 130 and layed most of it off at 60 for a couple of quid profit.

That's the only trading I've done so far on the Open

Won't be around much tomorrow so I've cancelled out all £15 of risk now leaving Stricker green with £224.25, O'Hair with £92.50 and Mahan with £350.

Well thats the end of me I think. Luckily only £10 in the red across the board but every one of my picks is +1 or +2 already this morning. I suppose I could hope for some real bad weather to come in and scupper everyone else!

Yesterday's conditions were absolutely perfect: clear, sunny, not a hint of wind. Even in conditions like that there were plenty of double-bogeys or worse (that is some truly ferocious knee/waist-high rough they have there - it's almost impossible to find a ball that goes in it, let alone play out from it....)

Todays weather looks a lot worse, I reckon there'll be some horrendous scores today.

Incidentally am I the only one here who truly loathes Peter Aliss. Mind-numbingly boring & just WON'T STOP TALKING whenever he's in the commentary box. He literally just lets whatever stupid thoughts are in his brain dribble continually out of his mouth & almost every word of it is useless giberish we don't need to here. Long LONG overdue for the boot.

Into 5.9 without playing a shot, presumably based on some of the leaders imploding.

Edit: now 5.6! Not much logic in this move IMO, the conditions are unlikely to be any better when Woods plays. Not that I'm complaining having had a bit of 7.0 this morning

    Edit: now 5.3 at 10.27am.
