Aye, well this is just mugging to be fair.
There won't be longterm profit in it unless you can beat the bookmakers' margin or betfair commission by means of inside/ specialist knowledge, just like ordinary betting.
Correct. Its a combination of luck and skill (if we are honest is there a difference? Didnt Napoleon say something about give me lucky Generals not good ones, or Stalin, someone did) but win or lose as long as its fun thats the main thing.
Update from me....
So Goosen is a big winner for me & Kaymer an OK one (& Hed would be a 2-week holiday somewhere lol). Anything else is a small losing book right now....
OK a new day & my unsettled night's sleep brought with it a dream that Justin Leonard will win the Open. Accordingly I've just bet him at 80s.
Continuing the theme of superstition, I just experienced a very weird coincidence. Playing MMM-Bop on youtube & someone started talking about Hansen AND there was simultaneously a 3rd coincidence around that name (that I won't go into for reasons various). Anyway, in such circumstances I could hardly fail to nibble on Soren Hansen @ 140.
So my revised book is now as follows:
Goosen decent winner, Kaymer OK one. Hed, Hansen & Leonard all very good too.
Anyone else & I face a small loss but nothing much as I've mainly been betting at fancy odds. If I can get a decent couple days entertainment out of the above it'll money well spent.

PS - please don't steam into Leonard just because I dreamt it, lightning won't strike twice.
