I guess someone at Hull must like Dowie as this is the second approach now - first one failed a few years back and then he went onto Coventry!
Brown took a lowly Championship side and turned them into a team capable of competing for PL survival (not just complete whipping boys). Big miss this is Michael Turner in the centre of defence for them, think he was pretty much their rock and provided some organisation and grit at the back. So they aren't prolofic by any means bu they've scored only one goal less than Stoke this year and Stoke sit in 11th. They've conceded almost 30 more though!
As for Brown, coupled with the relegation zone and fear of going (I think) £21m into the red should they drop, perhaps there's just a general sense of things going in the wrong direction elsewhere too or a lack of control - the media kinda jumped on his on-pitch 'team talk' way back and there was the incident with Bullard and Barmby fighting recently and the 'suicide' incident before that... it's like he's in the media but for the wrong reasons.
